A loan to a Premiership club sort of makes sense for Vydra. The Pozzo's get a fee, he gets a bigger wage (paid by the loan club). He gets a shop window in "the best league in Europe" (sic) and if he does well , his value goes up by a few million--probably by more than if he scored another 15/20 goals in the Championship for Watford. The risk for all parties is that he might flop in the Premiership , but he would have a high motivation to succeed. Another risk is that his development passes out of the control of the Pozzo system--would a loan club manager play him often enough , or in the right position or bring him on tactically?. Zola would, but could Allardyce or Di Canio be trusted to develop a prize Pozzo asset? That might be a factor--as are the wishes of the player himself.
