Kevin Phillips could also be heading for the exit door, with Hull City and Watford both interested.

Blackpool Gazzette ;)

I must admit, I'm not too fussed if most of the loans don't go permanent, as it does make financial sense if the main part of their wage is still on Udinese's books. There are 2 aspects where I would like some of them to have become permanent though;

First of all, if they are Watford-owned, we wouldn't have to hear constantly about how many loan players we have, being Udinese's 'B' or feeder Team, and all that nonsense

Also, someone like Vydra who's contract ends next summer. I would have liked to have him signed up on a long contract! If it gets to late summer this year, and he still hasn't signed for us, he could always threaten just to see the last year of his Udinese contract out and go somewhere on a free - and if he does that, the Pozzos might just seel to anyone to get some sort of return on him. Even if it is Udinese getting him to sign long term now, then hopefully coming to us in the summer, that would be good.

Totally agree. It probably does not matter who 'owns' these players, whether Watford or Udinese, and the real reason I would like them to sign is to put a stop to the 'Watford Loanees' tag that seems to follow us every time a reporter discusses Watford.

I guess, if each club has its own P&L, that getting Vydra as a WFC player will be an advantage because he probably has the highest potential sell on fee, so could help the clubs accounts in the future

Doesn't tell you anything - the page has been deleted.

I'm a bit confused - is he supposed to be coming on loan from Napoli or Udinese? Am not even sure of his age - two conflicting stories there, not that it makes that much difference, I suppose.

If he does come, I'll just be happy if doesn't turn out to be another Tamas Priskin. :)

Assuming that we can find a few Italian linesmen, Priskin would actually be a good fit for our current team. Not as good as Vydra of course, but we could do worse.

Not too sure about that NNW - Zola is always talking about our success - specifically that of Deeney & Vydra - being down to the way the team work for each other. TP would have to have been one of the laziest players we have ever had - skillful yes, but would no more work for the team than Ken Livingstone would work for Maggie Thatcher.

Steak City, Fullham, and Pizzamouth are in the hunt for his signature...

i heard Pork Vale needed a striker ;)

But Muslims don't eat pork, so they are out - that lets out the Trotters too I suppose. I heard that if he can't persuade Chipswich to keep him on, he's keen on trying the Mag-pies, but will probably end up following his sweet tooth & go overseas to LA Galaxy.

Wow, the links with Watford and all these brilliant players were all...rubbish.

Even Arsenal signed a player in the end!!

Do you think we even tried to sign anyone? Not that i think we necessarily need anyone.

Be lucky if he's good enough for Oxtongue Utd.
