I suggest that the discussion about grammar is put as a separate thread. The best place for it would probably be in general chat rather than the area for Watford fans (and the odd interlopers) and we may return this thread to the topic it was originally created for.

Barry - I doubt very much that the subject would last long enough to warrant its own thread - it was simply a slight detour down a tangent, a common enough occurrence. In fact, this discussion would lose all context if moved to a new thread.

To bring the thread back on track - any further news on the Iwelumo rumour?

Here, here!

A deal set to be agreed between PNE and Watford for Striker Chris Iwelumo before Saturdays pre season clash with AEK Athens.

Not if this quote is to be believed:

Preston chairman Peter Ridsdale has reiterated the club's desire for a high-quality striker ahead of the upcoming season. "We have over the last few days been negotiating for a particular player at a price that we think is realistic," Risdale told BBC Radio Lancashire. "We ultimately know if we are going to get promoted this year we need to add to what we've got a goalscorer." ;)

And by the way Al - the expression is 'hear, hear', not 'here, here'. <whistle>

Don't take this too personally, Al. I was reading somewhere that people pointing out grammatical errors on fora such as this has done more for the general improvement of written English than anything else in the last 25 years. Of course that comment excludes a certain school not far from Aberdeen.

which school pray tell..

Iwelumo was in Cork the other night...spent a lot of the half time time on his phone...to his agent? ;)...One size was there as well, both wearing the training kits...if that helps!

As much as I'd be happy to see him leave, I'd rather have someone come in first. Plus Risdale well, you can see what he said in bold
