i'm sure he'll be with us for the season, just a matter of waiting til we can officially sign players!
28 Jul 2012 23:56:20 Watford boss Gianfranco Zola looks set to offer striker James Mcfadden a 2yr deal. The striker who has been training with Motherwell would love the chance to play under the attacking minded boss. Zola also is closing in on Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran on a season long loan after RDM earlier this week could not guarentee first team football for the 20 year old.
I have no idea if there is any truth in the rumour that is starting to surface, but I have heard that Bas has gone missing. There seems to be an alert out for a sighting! Make of that what you will.!!!!
Further rumours are suggesting that we will know who the new sponsers are tomorrow. There should be some form of statement over the Red Lion shortly, possibly Tuesday. It seems that Bas no longer is, if he ever was the owner. There could be some legal action pending. Just snippets you pick up here and there of course.
He could wake up next the proverbial horses head next him Mind you he might do already, does anyone know what his wife looks like
Appointing a CEO with legal expertise seems like more and more of a masterstroke with each passing day. (I'm sure I'll live to regret these words, but for now I'm right)
The bits that I have posted are of course only rumours which is why I posted them on this thread. However most of them have come from more than one source and from people whe do have some insight into the strange world of WFC. With all of the small pieces, rather like a jigsaw, you start to build a picture, but sometimes a piece seems to fit, but turns out to be in the wrong place. I have an overall picture in my mind now, but it could be the wrong way up. If there have been some misdeeds going on, then I can quite imagine GT feeling that he should have spotted it earlier and feels that it has happened while he was the chairman, hence his departure. It would seem that this coming week may provide some forward movement, but wait and see, been wrong too often.
I think I see the same picture as you OFH and the influence of Ashcroft should not be underestimated - I also think GT had his advisors ear...still as I said, we have been lucky to have good people involved
Just something that's crossed my mind. Football Manager games include each club's sponsorship deal. Obviously they usually don't know what an individual deal is worth, and instead make an educated guess. But given that they know precisely what this deal is worth, the game should hopefully give us a ballpark figure.
