Out of the 6 teams below us, we are still to play 4 of them (Ipswich, Bristol, Notts Forest and Coventry). Add Peterborough and Crystal Palace as these are the next above us and you have the 6 wins we need. These are the games we really need to get something from and keep that gap between us and them. Add in a couple of draws here and there and hopefully that will be enough to get over the safety line? Losing to the top teams is bad for moral, but its the ones around us that we need to take points from.

Would be worth a punt for loan I reckon. He is a midfielder, which is not high on our list of priorities, but is an excellent player IMO.

I agree, very true! I'm sure we must be looking at bringing more loans in..just to get us through this season, and then next season, youngsters will be more used, i'm sure.

I agree we won't be relegated, we're a fairly strong unit now :)

The Roar need someone. They are even behind Wellington Phoenix at the moment and certainly won't finish top of the table this season.

You can never say that until the maths is certain. Coventry need four wins to overtake us and the other two fewer. A win on Saturday and for the bottom three to lose points would be very helpful. Barnsley without Ricardo Vaz Te still managed to see of Derby.
 
The 25 man PL squads are announced tomorrow I believe?

Then there will be a clear indication of who would be available on loan.

QPR have said Smith will be in their 25 man squad so he is def not going out on loan.

I reckon HH is a good bet - and he knows where the net is!
 
Keeping your top scorer, and then banning yourselves from picking him for the rest of the season?

Sounds like something QPR would do.
 
As for relegation, a point a game should see us comfortably home now. And as I've said since the summer, the squad is in much better shape to cope with the final stretch now than it was under Malky.
 
All we have to do is equal the best set of results produced by one of the bottom 3 and we will be safe by a comfortable margin.

Watford set to sign free agent Steffen Iversen as cover for their forwards.

Why? He is 35. 139 goals in 384 matches one goal in every 2,76 matches. Not including 38 goals in 102 matches for Norway at u21 and full international level. O

We would be better with Heiðar Helguson who is only 34 <yikes> and has 164 goals 460 which is 2.8 games for one goal. Not including 15 goals in 77 internationals at full u21 and u19 levels where Ísland are obviously the second best every time.

I suppose as Steffean has no contract he might be cheaper but we know Heiðar and I think he lives in Watford still.

-Watford are interested in signing Nick Blackman on loan from Blackburn till the end of the season. Watford are in need of a striker to replace the Marvin Sordell and Watford hope to land Blackman.

-Watford look to sign James Collins from Shrewsbury in the summer. Watford have been keeping an eye on the striker and hope to land the striker for £350k.

I have it on good authority that Watford will be signing a striker on Thursday and will be Marcello Trotta.

Been confirmed that Watford will be signing a striker tomorrow when the loan window opens. The stuff about Trotta is ill-informed, he's off elsewhere. The striker is Nick Blackman from Blackburn

It is Trotta! - done deal!
