North American Free Trade Area, bit like EFTA which Britain gave the old heave-ho to to join the EEC. More to the point, a worthwhile rumour: Vincenzo Fiorillo. Goalkeeper at Sampdoria might be boufght by Udinese and sent out on loan to Watford. More in keeping with the new owners than a Celt of dubious origin.
09 Jul 2012 20:36:55 Watford to sign promising Udinese striker Karl Nakatu on a season long loan. The 19 year old Nigerian is highly rated in Italy and had a spell on loan at Cesena last season. 09 Jul 2012 20:20:03 watford ins Vito mannone/arsenal/loan or perm Andrea mancini free agent Matej Vydra Udinese Loan Antonio Candreva Loan 09 Jul 2012 15:56:50 Watford will sign Carlo Cudicini from Spurs in the next 48 hrs and will bring in Man City Forward Luca Scapuzzi on loan for the season. Watch this! 09 Jul 2012 13:14:32 Watford announced that there will be a press conference with in next 24 hours. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just to formally introduce zola to the media. will be interesting to hear what he has to say 09 Jul 2012 12:14:00 Bradford city to loan in a season long keeper will be named by the end of the week, he will be from Watford Either bonham or bond if true, most likely bonham, but is there a decent source? if you get bond you ll be getting a great young keeper but whether he ll go to league 2 again is questionable. heard he s a bit big head Well it's Bond or Bonham. Either way you'll have a young but fantastic prospect in goal for you next season! Watford only have 2 so that's bs
I find it surprising that Sky Sports News would agree to broadcast a press conference live, if it was only going to tell us that Gianfranco Zola is the new manager. We knew that for certain a week ago. And he has managed a small team in England before, so the standard questions you would ask a big name dipping his toe into management don't really apply. Perhaps Sky have been tipped off there will be some big news on the playing front?
they've been announcing it for hours on their news loop, which, by the way, drives me insane and i do wonder why i watch it..but then..at this time of night there's not a lot else on! lol
They were live at Vialli's press conference and nothing major happened there. Why do I feel the more I get optimistic the more I remember feeling this way when Vialli was first announced.
Hope it's only rumour - IMO signing him would severely question the Pozzo's stated ambition for the club. Isn't he a member of the drunk and disorderly/grievous bodily harm brigade?
More a film yourself on your mobile while servicing a girl from behind kinda guy. Classy. Sure fits in with our family club nature!
Sky Sports understands Watford have made a move for French full-back Albin Ebondo as they attempt to bolster their defensive ranks. The 28-year-old has spent the last two years on the books of St Etienne, but is currently available as a free agent. Ebondo's entire career to date has been spent in his homeland, with a nine-year stint at Toulouse taking him up to a 2010 switch to St Etienne. His vast experience in Ligue 1 suggests he would have no problem adjusting to life in England, but it is unclear whether he would be interested in such a move. Watford appreciate that they will need to be very persuasive if they are to convince Ebondo to sign on at Vicarage Road. It is not just the change in country and culture that they have to contend with, they also have to convince a man at the peak of his career that joining a second tier outfit would not be a step backwards. Watford are, however, building towards a bright future, with new owners and the appointment of Gianfranco Zola as manager intended to steer the club back towards the Premier League. mmm....
Stand by my stab in the dark last night. No inside knowledge, but pretty confident an overseas player will be unveiled.
Appraently the Watford news conference later on will also be on Hornet player....for those who have it...
I assume this is editing, as it hasn't been made official http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albin_Ebondo thats after this http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11686/7887214/Hornets-eyeing-Ebondo
Cossu not off to Watford By Football Italia staff Andrea Cossu's agent has strongly rebuked talk of a move to Watford for the Cagliari playmaker. The English club recently came under the ownership of the Pozzo family, who already run Udinese in Serie A and Granada in La Liga. The Hornets now have Italian owners, an Italian Coach in Gianfranco Zola, an Italian sporting director – Gianluca Nani – and are being linked with a host of Italian players. Cossu's agent Fulvio Marrucco has, however, made it clear that his client will not be one of those joining the revolution at Vicarage Road. “I do not understand how they can jump out with certain items based on nothing,” Marrucco stormed in an interview with Sportal. “Cossu is Cagliari, he is a fan of the club and for him it is a dream to wear the red and blue shirt. Not to mention that he still has two years left on his contract...” Cossu is a 32-year-old attacking midfielder who was the top assist provider in Serie A the season before last. Speculation linking him with a club coached by Zola is perhaps inevitable as the two share so much in common, from their birthplace – Sardinia – to their playing style to their love for Cagliari
