Shame really considering he has just started to find his goal scoring feet again But he has put in some stinkers as well, after his U21 performances! Where he seemed to come back with an attitude
he really is very hit and miss. He's the best we have, but he's not great...he could be...but he's lazy and greedy at times...but he's young, he'll learn...that's what we have to get paid for..his potential..
Good point about Appiah - pity as he scored 9 in 3 cup games Cotterill is at Swansea - not a bad Championship player when he was at Brizzle. And re: Blackburn, you're right - didn't Richard Lee spend a year there without getting a game?
Good call on the unsticky-ing. As for Marv, even if I were resigned to lose him in this window, I don't think now is the right time to go to Bolton or Blackburn. If you're going to go to a relegation threatened Premier League club, do it when you've got a full pre-season to integrate yourself into the team and a full season to shine. If he is desperate to leave now, and the Newsnow rumours are remotely accurate, Newcastle might make sense. Although I still think he'd be better off reviewing his options in May.
I think its important we get someone to join him that he can play off ie another quick skillfull quality forward! otherwise I think he would be tempted to go elsewhere! Jesus even he has people sniping at him on twitter and on here! Now the loanees have gone he is our only notable (read asset)forward in the squad!
I'm not saying that none of the Twitter abuse of the squad in general comes from self proclaimed Hornets. But a by-product of government investment in broadband is that they now have internet access in Bedfordshite.
Is this your handywork Norway? 04 Jan 2012 14:49:43 Cardiff boss Malky Mackay poised to make triple-swoop for Watford youngsters Connor Smith, Sean Murray and Matt Whichelow, as he feels that they would be hot prospects for the future and he worked with them at Watford
04 Jan 2012 16:58:16 Watford looking at Tomasz Cywka of Derby to help ease their goal scoring woes. 04 Jan 2012 14:51:51 More Watford stuff: Midfielder John Eustace has a clause in his contract that allows him to begin a player/coach role at any time for a higher wage. He will be handing captainacy to Adrian Mariappa on a permanant basis while he focuses on his long-term options, whilst still playing for the Hornets. Eustace is to take up his new player/coach role in mid-January.
He is ok for a bit part role but not playing week in week out, he has lost so much pace this season. IMO! Mind you Hogg would make anyone look slow the way he runs round the pitch
Hogg was our best buy of the summer...he's just incredible! He's like a little terrier! I agree, Eustace has lost pace, but he's good for a cameo
Liking the Eustace rumour a fair bit, but would love it more if he were to be a super sub every game!!!
In that sort of deal that the Eustace rumour talks about, there would usually be a contractual transfer fee to go along with it, to prevent a club nicking a player that still has something to offer for nothing. And given his status six months ago, it wouldn't be an insignificant amount of money. Ooops, misread that entirely! Would be great if he became a first team coach.
This looks like Malkey Mackay has been spreading rumours so when he only steals one football player we will be happy.
Nope nothing to do with me people , How ever it does raise a potential problem of what could easily happen if the young lads get disallusioned at not getting into the squad! thinking of going elsewhere to managers that do give people a shot!

Smith is reportedly frustrated at not getting enough playing time due to the arrival of Shaun Wright - Phillips. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Terrible player anyway about the same level that watford could hope for or should i say no hope
