I’m sure Steelsie brought up David Hardings work up, many moons ago, with his concrete creations in Glenrothe. Seems the council,appreciate it so much they’ve managed to lose parts of it! Is it that difficult to appreciate what you already have?!

Wow, I wasn't expecting that. We just watched The Banshees of Inisherin. It's a quite beautiful film, with wonderful acting performances and many amusing moments, but by Christ it's depressing.

If anyone e gets the chance to watch the documentary film Wildcat, I can heartily recommend it. Wonderful true life film about an young army lad who served in Afghanistan and was released with PTSD and deep depression, who goes to the Peruvian jungle to help reintroduce injured animals back into the wild and cope on their own. One day a baby ocelot is left at the premises and he takes it upon himself to reintroduce the gorgeous feline after 18 months of teaching it how to feed itself and fend for itself. Heaet rending, moving, gorgeously shot and a tale of redemption . Superb
Might have missed a review on here but just started watching “Sherwood” on IPlayer which is rather good.
Involves a murder in a Nottinghamshire pit village, with a backdrop of the miners strike in ‘84, which still holds painful memories nearly 40 years later. A great watch so far

The real story behind the dramatisation is very interesting
Just back from the RSC where we saw The Tempest. I’m not a frequent theatre goer, and not a Shakespeare buff, but given that the theatre is ten minutes walk from my new home and my wife is a big fan, it would be churlish not to go.
Enjoyed it. The theatre is great and the set was superb. The performance was only the fifth or sixth of the run, pretty good but I think will get better. The ‘star’ actor is Alex Kingston as Prospero, good but not mesmerising. The stand out performance was Heledd Gwynn (me neither) as Ariel. Lots of words in Shakespeare, I dozed off a bit in the first half, until forcefully nudged.
I’ll happily make this a habit, pretty certain I’ll be blown away by something very soon. Next up is Julius Caesar, I think. The RSC has an excellent policy of making unsold tickets available for a tenner to locals (proof of postcode needed) on the morning of the performance. Neat.

Watched something on Sky Arts last night that I nearly ignored because it was Mick Fleetwood, but on closer inspection turned out to be Mick Fleetwood & Friends Celebrate The Music Of Peter Green. Really great.
A whole load of names had turned up, including Billy Gibbons, Pete Townshend, Steven Tyler, Bill Wyman, Kirk Hammett, John Mayall and Noel Gallagher. Standouts for me though were Dave Gilmour playing Oh Well Part Two, Jeremy Spencer, whose voice and guitar sounded every bit as good as all those years ago, and an American blues guitarist I wasn't familiar with, Jonny Lang. He was really excellent.
Well worth watching on catch up if you can find it.

Season 2 of the great Your Honor (yankee spelling....) with Bryan Cranston...three episodes in, brilliant acting as per the first season. Couple of good twists already and shaping up to be another cracking show.
Not sure whether it's been aired yet in the UK, but only four episodes out so far (aired on a Sunday evening in US) - catch it once it's out

I'm watching Bosch on Prime at the moment ... very good, ( 7 seasons, and I'm on series four ( or season 4 ) I'll watch 'Your Honour' afterwards. The first series was very good.
My wife has the the week off work, we went up to London to renew her passport. ( £177 pounds!!!! ) Then we walked across to the redeveloped Battersea Power Station, I wouldn't bother. A glorified pretentious shopping mall. To eat in their for a lunch is ludicrous. To go up in the lift in the north west chimney is upwards of twenty three quid! The whole area is very sanitised. Too much development too soon.
An evening at the theatre to see Rambert Dance company present “Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby”. Absolutely stunning two hours of dance, theatre and music. The dancers were incredible, as was the choreography, the storytelling was nailed on and gripping and the mostly rock music selections provided the perfect accompaniment and feel (with a live band of drums, bass, guitar and cello interweaved with Nick Cave, Frank Carter & TRS, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Last Shadow Puppets, Radiohead etc.). You could definitely feel the touch of Steven Knight on the production. The staging was spot-on.
All-in-all a top notch production. Very highly recommended. Almost a full theatre standing applause at the end was well-deserved. 11/10.

I just looked up the tour, but it's not coming to London. I may book the the Birmingham matinee and do a day trip.
I saw it at Southampton Mayflower theatre. I’d highly recommend, if you can make a day trip Strolls - go for it. I think they were in London around October last year (after opening in Birmingham).
Just watching The Shamima Begum story, which seems to have riled up the rabid right wing Mail readers, with many vowing to not pay their licence fee in protest.
Leaving the ****tards aside, it’s actually a brilliant piece of film that features many interviews with Begum herself, as well many of the people involved in what seems to have been a complex situation.
Was she groomed and tricked into travelling to Syria and should be treated as a nieve schoolgirl and victim in the situation ? Or is she an evil bitch who should have her passport revoked and left to rot in some kind of limbo ?
Hard to tell if she’s telling the truth but fascinating none the less
