According to the over the road the image I posted of the soldier taking the knee coul be considered a "dig at BLM".

If have offended anyone, I apologise. Just thought it was a powerful image that showed respect
I honestly can't see any reason anyone would be offended by your post.

They would say its offensive to people with arthritis over there mate, take no notice.

Chunk....the image, portrayed, is that of a serving person, kneeling at the loss of a fellow comrade, so far removed from any political stance , BLM included.

With the love Her Majesty had for H M Forces, and it was genuine, the image is rather apt. Thanks for posting it.

I've been informed that because it says "now" it is offensive as it means that the kneeling before wasn't the correct time kneel.

I'm finding it harder to type or speak to people as it's a minefield

What you have to remember is that RTG has been allowed to turn into a toxic cesspool inhabited by unhinged people with clear mental health issues. Anyone remotely normal isn't welcome there.

Don't bother going back.

It clearly is a dog at BLM like. I don’t think the queen is more important than tackling racism and i doubt she would either and I personally wouldn’t kneel before any human with status, especially a hereditary monarch. I also don’t think we should go cancelling everything. State funeral fair enough but im against the coronation of Charles. I think it’s time we should be able to opt out of contributing tax to the monarchy if we choose to. Respect to the woman that was the queen and the family members and friends who grieve at this time and it appears some members of the public who she touched, I can see you’re one of them which is fine of course but for me not the institution who **** and piss just like us. I don’t want to pay for the coronation of someone/thing I don’t want so let those who do pay for it all. I think that’s fair enough.

Someone should tell the Knights of the realm as they kneel when being knighted.

Give it a rest and have some respect

Dunno if it's just because it's a friday so less busier than usual but today feels eerily quiet and subdued. I work from home and can see the A1 at the end of the Team Valley and even at this time of today its very quiet. The roads in general seem very quiet, radio stations are running special programmes and everything feels just very weird today. She is the one thing that has been an absolute constant for pretty much everyone on this board and certainly to everyone that I have in my life which is an extremely humbling thought, something that is never ever likely to be repeated in anyone's life time I'm certain.

When people die you generally hear stories about how they wouldn't have wanted things to change, stop etc etc as life goes on but not in this instance, not for me at least. This woman has governed and presided over our nation for every single day of my parents lives, my life and my childrens lives and it feels only right for things to stop for a moment for that to be recognised and for respect to be paid to someone who took on the world every day of her life as our Queen.
