It is highly possible that I have imagined that.
I don't see him jumping ship mid season tbh, more likely to stick with Unsworth until the end of the season before trying again.
As for number 3, that ship has sailed now sadly.
LTL - I will never understand why we were not in front of Watford to sign him up in the first place. I only need to be p***ed on one level in this case - never mind four!
We were (in his mind). The only people that didn't spot this one a mile off seems to have been our board.
If we hadn't of dithered with sacking Puel (face/money saving exercise?) then he could well be here now.
Imagine we had appointed him (as we should have) and Everton tried to nick him from us having sacked Koeman!

Watford not too happy with how Everton approached their manager (allegedly) and Allardyce turned them down because he didn't feel they really wanted him (wise move....he'd just be an interim man).
