Yeah. I liked him, but wasn't quite as keen as you and FLT. You guys were right.

Loads of us were keen if I remember correctly. Probably the most popular choice on here? If we wanted a Poch mark two then he was the guy to get.

Irrelevant of course, as they hired him before we even sacked Puel.

Definitely, and I'd have been happy to sign him (for the second consecutive year, actually), but I wasn't married to him as a choice. FLT and LTL were banging that drum pretty consistently; I give them extra points because they never let their eyes wander. <diva>

What is it they say about a stopped clock? :emoticon-0100-smile

Nah. I was banging the Big Sam drum

OMG. Just seem City's second goal. Wow.
I must admit, I feel quite privileged to be able to watch that City side, even on TV. They are tonking sides with such regularity, playing such beautiful football. Kevin de Bruyne, Leroy Sané, David Silva, Gabriel Jésus, all absolute geniuses, and Sergio Aguero wasn’t even playing!

The first was pretty easy on the eye too...nothing spectacular, but absolutely clinical passing. The lovely thing about playing in a team that scores for fun is that you can pass up your own decent chance for someone's tap-in, because you can rest easy that they'll do the same for you. So many goals featuring a situation where a player could by rights have had a go, but kept their head up and created a better chance.

De Bruyne was incredible. Gabbi must have been licking his TV screen at some of those passes.

If you were to suggest that KDB is the best player in the PL right now, I'm not sure I could argue against it. There are plenty of good finishers, but there aren't many players capable of creating gilt-edged chances.

I just watched MOTD and was going to come on here to say the same.

City's second goal is how to play from the back, no sideways passes once it came out of defence and real pace. Then the KDB exquisite pass. Absolutely breathtaking football by City.

Jose Fonte on R5 at the moment. Went to Dejan’s dinner party last night. Ugh.
Apparently he was on MOTD2 Extra, which is broadcast on both BBC TV and R5.

Said something about Pochettino having loads of cameras around at Saints training ground. Like Poch put them there. Yeah. Funny thing is, they're still there. He didn't take them with him. And he didn't take them with him because it wasn't his idea.

But then he did say he was always watching what you were up to and your body language, and that his attention to detail was second to none. That was the point.
