Absolutely wrong to erode Christmas anymore...who needs to watch football on Xmas Eve. And travelling would be a nightmare. Fans should boycott the matches, but I doubt it will happen sufficiently and most of the money comes from TV anyway. Sometimes though it is a matter of principle.
