...Plus, I can't help but have a soft spot for a team in red & white stripes who perform the great escape every year![]()
Absolutely agree....I find it confusing. Sorry, Stoke and Sunderland, but you have to go.For me its the opposite, i just get angry because it just feels like they are infringing on our brand!!
JUST GO DOWN ALREADY!!!
Having looked at Rule 15 of the Laws of the Game, it clearly says that players wearing red and white stripes are not allowed on the field of play unless they are registered with Southampton Football Club.Absolutely agree....I find it confusing. Sorry, Stoke and Sunderland, but you have to go.

Fonte still upset about how he is portrayed. I do understand that as he had a close relationship with Saints, but did anyone say he refused to train. We saw him in training videos, so we knew he was training. I don't understand about him being so concerned about whether he put in a transfer request....isn't asking to leave the same as putting in a formal request....except the latter may affect your pay off. I'm not upset anymore....I can see that he would want to get one last good deal at his age. It's a shame it unravelled as it did. He has got over the worst with an appearance at St Marys....and that didn't go too badly for him, did it? You can't have it all ways...you can be a hero to a club or you can be pragmatic and move on. A few have managed both, but that was usually because we could see the money was to our benefit. The thing about being greatly loved is that the fall is greater. Fact of life.
I don't think Mings meant it. Nobody is going to stamp on someone's head with a football boot**. Ibrahimovich meant it.Mings and Ibrahimovich been charged by FA.
Good. Both committed violent acts and should be punished accordingly.Mings and Ibrahimovich been charged by FA.
TSS, they were at each other all game. Ibrahimovic shoved Mings to the ground at one stage, they were mouthing off to each other all game. Mings meant it.I don't think Mings meant it. Nobody is going to stamp on someone's head with a football boot**. Ibrahimovich meant it.
**Actually, I wouldn't have put it past Roy Keane. Or Cantona. Or Ben Thatcher. Or... actually there are a few I can think of now. OK, just scrub the 'nobody'.![]()

Well I must admit I only saw highlights, so fair enough if you're talking about provocation.TSS, they were at each other all game. Ibrahimovic shoved Mings to the ground at one stage, they were mouthing off to each other all game. Mings meant it.

1] Athletico MadridThis is going to sound awful but, sometimes I wish Saints didn't play in red and white stripes. Here's the skewed logic:
1] nobody wins anything in red and white stripes
2] we inevitably get ourselves associated with Stoke and Sunderland. Mediocre clubs. When we were in the lower leagues it was Exeter and Lincoln [tbh, I didn't mind that so much].
3] every manufacturer makes such ****ty looking kits for us.
There I've said it.![]()
