Even if VAR had reviewed that it wouldn't have overturned the red card. And watching it live it looked a stonewall second yellow so don't know how you can have a go at Mike Dean. Replays showed minimal contact but it's still a foul and 2nd yellow as he would have been away down the right.

Because it’s not a yellow card. If VAR was allowed to review it, and still said it was a yellow, then VAR should join you on that stadium ban.

Even if var didn't overturn it that doesn't necessarily mean it would be the correct decision.

I expect it probably wouldn't have been seeing as it's just backed the refs up so far, I was just posing the question as I don't see the difference really in reviewing that and a straight red as they're both potentially game changing decisions.
