You don't win silver medal you lose the gold. This was in an episode of operation good guys, hilarious mocumentary!
I remember it as “Hard work beats talent, if talent doesn’t work hard”. Unless there’s another from Nigel on that thread.
Sorry, it wasn’t too obvious. I was making the point that people seem to attribute so many quotes to Nigel, that don’t come from him at all. Such as “hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard”. They’re not pearls of wisdom from the old physio, and we had a thread on that note giving him Sun Tzu, Martin Luther-King quotes etc etc.
'And on the seventh day, God christened the strange looking islanders as dirty skate bastards who shall be laughed at forevermore!' Niger Adkins, 2013.
Nigel re-popularised a few to the point where people thought they were his original phrases. Which is fair enough. I think the 'bus' analogy is his. But it could have come out of some coaching manual.
Unbelievably good value that, did I read somewhere that we want about £10m for Fraser? ****ing lol...
Sheff Utd spending £20m on Swansea striker Oli McBurnie. Could've had Austin for less than half of that.
Brooks ruled out for 3 months. That's a big blow to Bournemouth. That would be like losing Redmond for 3 months.
I would like to point out that as my last match day thread led us to a draw I will be posting the Burnley match thread shortly after the Köln game.
Hmmm, remember when we used to be in articles like this (although we do get an honourable mention) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49165976
GenX/Millennial? "Why do people insist on referring to the big 6? It should the big 4. How can Liverpool & Spurs be regarded as “big” when they’ve never been English League Champions?"
