Just waiting for the Tottenham ‘we should be applauded for what he have achieved even if we don’t win anything’ fans to come out

One round later, and it now reads:
Newcastle 46
Brighton 44
Burnley 44
Palace 42
Saints 38
Cardiff 38

Cardiff keep on messing up:

Newcastle 46
Burnley 44
Brighton 43
Palace 42
Saints 38
Cardiff 35

Starting this weekend, Brighton have a run of fixtures which they cannot afford to slip up in. Because if they do, that 43 will only be heading in one direction, going into the back end of the season.

His agent says we tried to get him on loan before Newcastle came in with a permanent deal. Why on earth didn’t we just sign him!

Lets not judge him too highly after 2 games. Think we've done that with a few of our own players in the past and most of them are now out on loan.

Looking at the table and as I predicted a couple of seasons ago the gap between the elite six clubs and the rest has become firmly established and 2015/16 was an outlier and it's difficult to see how it will change apart from a breakaway to a European league of some kind.
Wolves in 7th are 13 points behind Chelsea in 6th who have a game in hand and there are a mere 13 points separating 7th and 17th places. A few dodgy decisions, late goals etc changed here and there and the table might look completely different apart from the top 6 that is!

I think that is very unlikely to see another Leicester and even the auto EL qualification looks tough now for the rest of us in the future.

Ironic really, his first game in charge significantly contributed to the sacking of Hughes and we put the final nail in his coffin in the reverse fixture.
