I've liked Ranieri since his Chelsea days (I was really pleased him for at winning the league three years ago). But he doesn't have any experience of managing in a relegation battle in the PL, so I'll be intrigued to see how he gets on. I'm sure Fulham will back him heavily in January, but I said on here a few weeks back that I expected Fulham to do that regardless of their manager. In fact, they're probably the only one of us are will spend big. Maybe Palace too, but I'm not sure.
Given how little time he's getting at Leicester, I wouldn't be surprised if Okazaki is Ranieri's first signing in January. He might also try and tempt Morgan away with a lucrative contract, survival bonus and the captaincy. Morgan is still getting regular football at Leicester, so it might be a non-starter. But at the same time, he's almost 35, has already been sent off twice this season, is one of their highest earners, and they signed a couple of CBs in the summer (including Evans) who they could pick from to partner Maguire. It might suit all parties to for him to join Claudio. Simpson and Fuchs are two other players from his time at Leicester who Puel has since moved aside. And of course there's Drinkwater getting nowhere near the Chelsea team. Moving from Stamford Bridge to Craven Cottage is hardly a geographical inconvenience.
I find this a terribly odd opinion ! ffs the guy has achieved all sorts, surely he has to be regarded as some sort of good LTL ! ?
It’s the same as people who think Poch isn’t all that because he hasn’t won anything. Ranieri won the league, but I just done think he’s all that.
Confirmed Scudamore will get the £5m payout. Staying on in an advisory role, which means he will no doubt be on a nice day rate as well when his services are required.
Absolute joke. That money could go to so many good causes, such as invest in grassroots football or charity. In other words people who actually need the money.
