Fair point and I agree. But that hasn't happened consistently for years... Even when Ron was delivering our best league finish in 30 years. I'd argue if fans are prepared to take action it shows that they care, as we've had it so good for years I think we've forgotten as a fanbase that we CAN have an impact.
I'm glad the unbeaten run is over and hopefully the Pep ****fest can stop for a couple of weeks at least.
The team needs as much help as it can get from the fans...those fans can still let the Board know how they feel before and after the match.
Listened to the Liverpool/manchester United game on the World Service and it sounded magnificent. Alan Green is as good as ever in the commentary box alongisde Robbie Savage who sounded like a horse-racing commentator. PS: I am bottom of the Prediction League but I predict Liverpool will win the CL this year, playung Bayern in the final.
While SFC are not a Top 6 side, I feel even with this squad, SFC have been under-performing up until now and should be considerably higher in the league. Why they are not, why they are playing so conservatively, I do not know. but let's hope certain issues have been thrashed out and the side can start winning in the PL, beginning against ......... Tottenham next weekend.
The media love fest with Manchester United, the guys born and bred in deepest Hampshire fully being committed Manchester United fans, kids wearing Manchester United shirts. Oh well, I am a hypocrite as I am a big supporter of Kenyan athletes in the World and Olympic Championships over anyone else.
I’m in Southampton this week with work... I might email the club and see if anybody of any relevance (I’ll ask for Les) could spare me 20 minutes to discuss my concerns. Doubt I’ll get a reply though.
I Was in a pub in Guildford last weekend and had a SFC jumper on I chucked on after work when I heard in the background a mutter of " scummer, scummer" I turned 90 degrees to see this bloke and his mate , I said " Pompey fans?" He replied " na , Bournemouth pal" I just rolled my eyes, kinda shook my head and carried on making my way to the bar. Their little faces were a picture as they clearly expected a different reaction lol , not for me just to dismiss them entirely. Really are a strange bunch , that haven't quite caught on to the fact the rivalry only exists in there little fantasy world, it's sad and hilarious at the same time.
I may have asked them where they were when Bournemouth were in League 2, and why they need to be so unoriginal that they have to copy another team's chants.
