Other than Man Utd fans, Stoke fans are surely the happiest tonight. Not only do they beat Arsenal, but they can sit back and think that they got £20-odd million for a guy who gets sent off for an elbow and have been able to replace him with Jese.
Laughable really. They had to buy ake to even get to where they started last season. And defoe does not start for them as they had an reasonably effective attack last season
Yeah, hopefully nothing serious, like a fracture that keeps him out for like, say six months. That would be dreadfully unfair.
FFS I don't pay my TV licence to see the mighty Scousehampton last on match of the day. WTF are the BEEB playing at. *looks for pen and writing paper*
I thought that someone might have mentioned Harry Arter clearly shouting "leave it!" at Nathaniel Chalobah, causing the Watford player to do just that and waste a scoring chance. I must admit I never knew doing that was actually illegal.
Yes it is, in the same way a player can't shout "mine".... they have to use a name (apart from a keeper).
Happened at a Saints match. Mark Hughes (before he played for us) was given a yellow card for shouting an instruction from behind a Saints player to put him off.
I too am impressed. But then again, they are only playing Newcastle (and Palace last week). Too many people seem to think Newcastle will be OK this season - I presume just because of their 'name'. So impressed, yes, but by no means fearful of going there next week.
Yep, they remind me of us when we came up, some genuine PL quality mixed with really high work rate. Will be a tough/interesting game next week. I feel we should have enough though.
I haven't seen anything of their game against Newcastle today, but last season I saw Billings a few times and he impressed me a lot. I'd like to see Huddersfield keep hold of him, but if they needed to let go of him I'd like him to come to us.
This is right . They have played 2 teams that are absolute shambles. Palace are trying to play like Ajax without the right players and have only had a month or two to try it. Newcastle were a fellow a championship club last year and have signed hardly anyone of sufficient quality - yet from what I can see they were celebrating like they had achieved survival at the end of the game (that line in front of their fans )
