Vamos Liverpool. Anything that Spurs did at Anfield, Arsenal are more than matching. Arsene looking less than happy and well he might as his players are taking the p*** taking their enormous salaries after that limpless performance.

Zlatan quote that Mings jumped into "his elbow" has shades of the Italian captain of the striken cruise ship just "falling into a liferaft" as others lost their lives.

Wow, Arsenal nearly equalise, and then Liverpool put the game to bed in injury time on the counter. Great game.

I think these are two very ordinary teams when compared with their previous vintage. Both are a considerable distance from winning the PL any time soon, and in Arsenal's case ever getting anywhere near European honours, something that is in Liverpool's DNA even with an average team. As we all witnessed last May until Sevilla woke up!!

I agree on your main thesis, but you can still have a good game of football between even mediocre teams. In this case, Mané was world class and was the difference between the sides.

Still fairly early, but it's beginning to get the feel that the current bottom three (Boro, Hull, Sunderland) will be the bottom three come the end of the season. Back-to-back wins for Big Sam, with clean sheets in each. He's taken his time, but it's finally starting to come good.
Not happy about that. The nearest clubs for me to see Saints. I know Newcastle will probably go up but cant rely on Leeds, Huddersfield or Sheff Wed to go up.

****ing hell saw the Mings incident before coming to work and it's absolutely disgusting!

He really should get a long ban for that, I mean I know it's not as dirty or scummy but surely that's worthy of a ban of at least what Suarez got for spitting?

If it was deliberate I agree, but it was difficult to tell.

I think it was such a horrible thing to do, I just can't believe a footballer would deliberately do it to a fellow professional, especially on a live TV game st Old Trafford.

Don't know about that, footballers are human. Some are good people, some are tossers. Plenty of examples over the years.

I don't know what Mings is supposed to have done [to Ibra] but he was interviewed by Radio Solent afterwards and he said absolutely no, he didn't mean to do anything. He did say that he felt that Ibra was looking for him all the match though.
