Everton fans proving to have the most deluded fan base in football once again. Seriously what is in the water there? Can’t see potter to Leicester personally, not if their points deduction is as big as it appears. He’s being very careful with his next job
When is the points deduction likely to be decided? Can’t see many managers deciding to take the job until they know the scale of it
If they start the season on -15 they are going to seriously struggle in the transfer market. I get why an up and coming manager may take that risk but Potter could get a bigger and more secure job without doubt.
Everton are truly screwed. 777 deal has now expired, meaning they don’t have anyone to buy them. Can genuinely see them going into administration or worse at this point. Wonder what Moshiri will do
I suppose there's two ways of looking at it. You might well be right. But alternatively, it might now enable them to proceed with another party. There was something iffy about the 777 bid from a fairly early stage. And Everton locking themselves into an exclusivity deal with 777 really hand-cuffed them. Now they are finally free of those hand cuffs. That's great news for them if there is someone else out there who can get involved quickly. But they key word there is "if". It's different circumstances, but just imagine if our earlier discussions with SISU had led to them taking us over (when you consider how awful they later were for Coventry) rather than by Markus later down the line.
Yeah think it’s good news for them. Someone else will come in as they are the third biggest team in England and invented dug outs.
I am looking at it like this: Any interested party now needs the money to buy the club, finish the stadium, fulfill Everton’s debt obligations and pay back 777. Also deal with the existing financial irregularities. All this in a team that isn’t even the largest in its own city. Good luck finding a willing buyer. Where is the appeal?
Does the stadium need to be finished? Has the work been started and is now bound up by contractual obligations ? And what do they need to pay back 777 for? Edit: Found this in an article: “777 loaned them more than £200million to cover working capital and construction costs for a new dockside stadium at Bramley Moore.” Presumably that figure is included in any reported debts?
I was originally a believer. I know it won’t happen but I’d ditch it now, 100% Article is correct tho, that it adds flavour for the TV viewers but is abhorrent for the stadium fan. Definitely needs a massive overhaul. Fingers crossed but not hopeful on any count.
speaking as a tv viewer I despise it. It’s the same for us - ball in net.. hold your breath.. get bored.. roll eyes and say ****ing VAR is ruining the game.
If reports are to be believed he turned us down before we got Martin. If that is correct then thank f*ck for that.
I don't know if he will ever make an appearance but this is big news around these parts https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/35029...lsen-lost-words-after-signing-afc-bournemouth Weird thing - he looks tiny for a goalie, Ive commented with my kids that he looks like a 5 footer and the internet is confused. He is either 183cm or 193 cm so 6' or 6'3". Has been great for the Wellington Phoenix this season tho.
