Actually I should have said a freak score, not result. The result was entirely expected by most.
Anyway, unless the players were doing it deliberately then yes I think it was a freak score. To have lost by 3, 4 or 5, even 6 wouldn't have surprised many, but 8? We haven't lost by 8 for 100-odd years, we probably won't again for another 100. Not trying to defend anyone, they're all a shower of **** but I think the focus should be on why we lost, not by how many.

Focussing on why we lost has been done to death on this board over the past few games (and beyond).
You would 'hope' that all the analysing that is done by McCanns analysts would have realised this and found a solution. If not they could do worse and have a look on here, or listen to Burnsy or read Buckingham.
As it is the number of goals conceded last night has been on the cards for a while.
And as GLP says, wait for Cardiff who are still very much in the hunt for the Play Offs.

Plus Welsh v English. They will absolutely revel in giving our club the final kick into league one it needs.

Strange that it comes to Cardiff, last game of the season again.

The 1-0 win when Deano scored for us to stay up and the white ****e relegated.
The 2-2 draw at the KC to see us promoted to the Premier League.

So all that is left is a defeat and a relegation.

Hmmmm

We'll see. So are you up for a virtual fiver in my book on the size of the Cardiff defeat? I'm saying 3 or fewer, GLP's in for 5 or 6 min. You?

My £10 I would have spent on watching the game will be given to Dove House. I won't be watching. So win lose or draw it makes no difference.

I'm not picking a fight with you as such Plum, because despite last night I'm still making cases for City to stay up. Looking at other teams fixtures etc etc, so I suppose I'm with you in reality.

I suppose it's the fight or flight thing. Sadly most of those last night chose the latter. I can't help myself being a competitive pain in the arse whatever sport. I don't want to lose. If I am going to lose it is going to be made hard for the victor. And if beaten, make sure it won't happen again. And that's what I expect from my club.

But I won't trot out the **** excuses spewed out by people that represent my / our club.

To quote Bill Shankly, '' some people think winning is everything. It isn't, but trying to win is.''
Quite simply last night they were not trying to, no effort, no determination . Even allowing for lower skill levels it was awful.
I agree with others the blame lies squarely at the door of the Allams.
A Club being deliberately driven downhill for the last few years.

Collectively as painful as it may be. We need to stop funding the Allams with membership payments. I had to explain to my lad last night that I’m cancelling both of ours. He’s devastated, but he kind of understands. I’m not prepared to contribute to them any more.

We're not fighting, just banter. Got to keep the spirits up. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Was any of us genuinely expecting anything less than a good hiding. This bunch arnt just on a sinking ship they are in a lifeboat disguised as woman. Paid professional footballers with no heart and a manager and owners leaving the supporters On the deck watching them sail away.

I was expecting a good hiding, 3 or 4, maybe even 5 with a possible solitary reply, but not expecting anything as bad as it turned out to be. Can't believe they are even worse than I thought.

It’s systematic of the feeling running through the club. Was only a matter of time

I wonder how many of us are technically banned from the club after last night?

With the amount of ****e I was spewing on twitter and tagging the club and McCann, I could technically be.
