Corbyn's puppet master Len McCluskey - recently elected with less than 50% of the votes on a 12% turnout, says the benchmark for success for Labour is 200 seats.

I think this is known as 'managing expectations'.

Labour won't get anything near 200 seats.
Len has changed his mind this morning, he is full of optimism that Labour will win<party>

I see Drumpf has literally started pushing other politicians about at the NATO party yesterday. The look on his face when he got to the front said it all. 'Right, now I'm here we can start'.

The Labour MP's MUST get behind Corbyn now. Labour can win the next election if they do, and if they don't get behind him Labour will lose again. No way will the Tories allow Mrs Me to fight another election, whenever that is, they will up their game and so must Labour.

Totally this. A meeting of labour minds needs to happen. Corbyn needs to embrace more centrally looking party members, and the centre/right wing need to accept Corbyn is in charge and stop their petty sniping - the Blair model is over. If they work together, the Tories are in real trouble, and May and the DUP will exacerbate this.
I read am interview with the Labour MP in Nottingham who said Labour missed an open goal and should have won. I don't think that's true. Labour were utterly split before the election and there was no clue how badly May would do. Now the Tories problems are deepening daily because May will NOT surrender power willingly.
If the Tories used their heads, they'd let Corbyn try and form an unworkable minority government which they and the DUP could block at every turn. But they prefer to cling on hoping Labour comit some terrible gaffe which swings the public back into their camp. Labour should back down and unite behind Corbyn. There will be another election , probably sooner rather than later. If Corbyn can make allies, he can win, as May is going to become unelectable.

The one aspect of this election which pleased me most was that the electorate were completely unfazed by the monstering of Corbyn by the right-wing papers. Now that The Tories have got into bed with a party with terrorist links they will be devoting themselves to exposing every detail of the DUP's links to paramilitary organisations.............................................................................NOT!

Has something happened, ot did he just notice the difference in the number of seats Labour won compared to the Tories?
Calling for a government statement on the inferno in West London. Far too quick, there is plenty of time for that when more information has been gathered. Shows he's still a reactive politician.
The good news is that Tim Farron's gone.

Are we in the middle of middle of a sea-change in politics?? In 1964 the Profumo scandal saw Labour come in with Wily Harold's "White heat of technology". In 1979 the Winter of Discontent saw Mrs Thatcher quote St Francis of Assissi outside 10 Downing St. Then Black Friday crushed the Tories in 1997, with New Labour taking over. What now?

Rather disingenuous of the Blessed Jeremy Corbyn to deny saying he would write off student loans. He was quite happy to give the impression that he would, and I took it that that's what he meant. The fact that he carefully avoided a factual statement of policy shows a more calculating political mind than he's so far been given credit for. How will his army of young fans respond? Will he get the Nick Clegg treatment, or will Oh Jeremy Corbynmania carry on unabated?

To deceive millions of people into voting for your party by using a carefully considered combination of words which means in effect that you said nothing at all, is just a form of lying.

Politicians of all parties spend entire election campaigns telling lies. Just because they are well concealed or camouflaged lies, it is no less dishonest than if they were bare-faced brazen lies. In fact they are even worse.
No different from the sly lies told by confidence tricksters trying to defraud pensioners out of their life savings.

How can young people learn the value of being honest when this country is led by liars.
None of them are worth listening to.

He needs to be very carefull. God says 'take what you want, and pay for it'. In this case promise what you loke, but if you get elected be ready to fulfill the promise.

Or be Nick Clegg.

Good timing, since Labour have now decided to officially shift to 'Remain'.

Thus proving once again that the chattering classes in London mean more to them than the working classes they were created to represent.
