On second thoughts i think i gave scotland too much credit.
Let them go independent, rebuild the wall snd get the feckers deported.
But they voted to remain. That's not very nice!

Ha! It's funny all the same.It was originally aimed at chippy. We must have commented at the same time
Everyone agreed on that then?We can then put our trust in Westminster politicians which the leave campaign demanded. That should sort it out, surely we can trust the Westminster elite like we voted for.
Smug being the operative word, Ted. I'm just relieved the majority saw sense and rejected your wishy washy mindset. Europe is heading for the pits of Hell, yet we may just escape by the skin of our teeth.Problem with Brexit is that it doesn't mean the same to everyone. After reviewing the choices I chose to remain as I could tell what would happen if we voted to leave. It gives me little smug warm glow that my concern was correct & there is no plan to leave & the bluster from the leave campaigners was just that bluster, with no plan of their own. when we leave, as leave we must, people will be unhappy. them that wanted all foreigners deported will be upset, them that want to buy their BMW cars without import duties will be upset. whilst everyone else will find something to moan about and politicians will blame other politicians.
It also amazes me that its assumed "we" will have the final say, once a deal is sorted however rubbish it is for us, we may not have the option to say "no thanks I think we'll stay." I think we need to leave, even on the basic world trade tariff arrangements, agree Brits can remain in Europe, Europeans can remain in the UK as at a set date. All EU laws passed remain on the statute books & then start from scratch. We can then put our trust in Westminster politicians which the leave campaign demanded. That should sort it out, surely we can trust the Westminster elite like we voted for.
I voted remain, we lost, we deal with it.
Gloating from either side at the time was childish and if people wish to talk about Brexit there's only one thing we can say currently "we'll see". The people leading us out of the EU don't know how it's going to pan out, hence why they're still spending a fortune on "specialists" to assist with the best possible plan.
So if those leading us don't know, Joe average on the street doesn't have a clue.
We live in very troubled times indeed, as we all know. The idea that Brexit will make everything better is very appealing. I'd love to escape to that place. The "Glorious Independence Day" headlines were tragic because of the false hopes they raised. Call me a senile old c*** but it appears to me that the more insoluble the world's environmental problems become the more we look for false prophets.

Sorry Royston, but I read New Scientist . The issue really should transcend politics. It doesn't, God knows why.Another Aunt Sallie
The UK won't start having 50 degree winters just because we have voted to get our independence back.

The people leading us 'out' DO know what they are doing - but when you go into a negotiation you don't show the other side [27 bitter Govts] your hand in advance, do you? The Idiot Corbyn, in one of his many laughable utterances as leader, announced the day after the referendum that the Government should invoke Article 50 "immediately". Unfit for office.
The only reason the Remoaners have insisted on seeing 'a plan' requiring a vote, is that they know that primary legislation can be bogged down by unelected peers tabling 100s of amendments in the House of Lords.
