Football has been played for 100 years but only now, they decide to enforce a religious ruling.
I don’t care what nationality you are, what your religious choice is, that’s your choice but if you then come into the public space & expect everyone else to make a ruling to suit your choice, your religion, you can take off.
Leave religion out of football / sport.

They wait for a “natural” break in play. In France they don’t have if officially so you have goalkeepers going down with injuries at the right time which is more of a farce.
Find it a bit performative when people pick and choose when to be religious in general. I know loads of Jews who will do Passover to the letter but drive to football on a Saturday. Of all the things in football to be annoyed about it’s a long way down my list.

No, not really. It was just intended to indicate how ridiculous and hypocritical religious conventions can be, but you've dealt with that in your subsequent post.

UK now likely to be involved as Hezbollah targeting British bases in Cyprus from Lebanon. Starmer appears to be doing everything he can to avoid entering the fray but by granting permission for US to use our bases he has invited these attacks...
Apparently there is no ground based air defence system at either Akrotiri or Dhekelia in Cyprus so the British personnel there are vulnerable to any drone/missile attack as are all the aircraft...
