Pope Leo's real name is Robert. He's Bob Pope!

He's already been described by MAGA suppotrers as a 'woke marxist', so that's encouraging.

John Lydon, what a ****.....

Sex Pistols' John Lydon Says Kneecap 'Need a Bloody Good Kneecapping'

You should know all about mediocre you sad fat ****.

Their manager is a smart bloke. They’ve found an opportunity and ridden the Palestine gravy train a bit too hard but their status and income has been elevated infinitely higher than they could have dreamt of when they were just about ‘up the ra’.

But they went a bit too far with the comment on MPs. If they’d stuck with cheering for Hamas/Hezbollah nobody important would have cared.

Absolutely - create shock value just as the Pistols did in their day

Before my time but I assume the Pistols didn’t just flat out deny saying what they said on camera when their edgy escapades got them in a bit of hot water.

Very true

Social media wasn't of course a thing back then

My school music teacher allowed us to play both Frigging in the Rigging and God Save the Queen "for discussion" having got control of the previous week's lesson by saying we could listen to anything we liked the following week. To be fair he kept to his word, despite the contents!

But are they any good? Subjective I know plus I'm hardly their demographic but I didn't think the music was all that

We were banned at school from singing 'Gordon is a moron' on account of Gordon Pottinger's mum complaining to the Head

Define good. They get a certain crowd going for sure but it was a bit of a cult following. They’ve found a way to go more mainstream, albeit a route some would argue is kind of disgusting but there’s an audience for it but then there’s the trade-off any band makes when they get a bit beyond that cult following of whether they double down on what got them there or apologise for it because there are consequences for the choices they’ve made to achieve some level of fame.

Can they rap though? Yeah they can. Is that bloke who looks 40+ poncing about in a balaclava cosplaying the IRA ridiculous? Also yes.

As I said, subjective, personally I wasn't taken with the music

The rest of it is the usual shock horror PR

They're booked for Glastonbury which the BBC shows fairly comprehensively, as they are in tune with the beeb on Hamas I guess we'll all see what they're like...
