And their hands tied up in Ukraine...it's no coincidence that whilst the world battles Russia their eyes will be off what is going on in other regions of the world.
Hamas have prepared well for this, but their methods have been so over the top that they have bought on a lot of this on themselves. If they'd just attacked military targets their cause on the international stage would be seen in a better light, but mindless slaughter of innocents detracts from the message. The Israeli response is exactly what you'd expect though, and is also abhorent.
There's a very big risk involved here, if Israel get enough proof against Iran and it escalates there is potential for something very catastrophic to happen. Israel has nukes, and one can only guess how far along the Iranians are with their weapons program.....
A ground invasion into Gaza is a lose/lose for Netanyahu Col. IDF fatalities, CNN footage of massacred children and no hostages recovered = total failure. Plays totally into Hamas hands plus don't forget Hezzbollah stated warning any invasion = escalation in the North. You also have to understand that Hezzbollah are 100x more armed and prepared than Hamas. Israel will not beat them in any conventional sense
So, for now a blockade/siege and constant bombing
Now hamas have stated that for each Israeli bombing without a prior warning, they will kill a hostage in return. Netanyahu in a cycle of impossibly bad choices

Already the UN and EU got their knickers in a twist over how to respond to the Israeli siege and its going to get very messy
But a land invasion into Gaza is a one way ticket to complete chaos
Iran is far more aligned with Hezzbollah and PIJ than Hamas. Al Quds Brigades took responsibility for the incursions in North Israel today, that's a serious statement and escalation

Trade including tourism is booming between Israel, and Dubai and UAE. And now Saudi Arabia wants in. There can be no better reason for Iran to chuck a stick in the spokes of the wheel. Netanyahu must remember this and not allow revenge attacks to be excessive.
