The problem I was referring to was one of decision making. Energy will be a problem from the autumn, the degree will depend to some extent on Russia.
I have no idea whether Sunak or Truss could agree on an energy policy at this stage, but given the hustings, I suspect not. The matter must be determined by the new pm in September. There will be a new Chancellor and a new budget then.
I think energy already is a problem (at least on the petrol side). The current prices are already 50% higher than they were since last match.
You are right though that it will be further compounded by energy rises in october and the increased use across winter.
We already knew about this problem at the beginning of the year and nothing has been done except that 400 quid loan.
