When some Tory non-entity was asked this morning why the UK was lagging so far behind the EU on sanctions, he said, 'Well it's not a competition'.

Wait a minute, I thought we were 'leading the World' according your glorious leader?

So you think WW2 war was won in 1940?

Detention for you sonny.
It’s still amazing how quickly men of a certain age (about my age) will revert to WW2 analogies. Just like Putin is with his talk of ‘de-nazification’. Hopefully the world will be a better place once us old gits have pegged it, we should learn from the past, not constantly relive it.

People who took part in it didn't want to talk about it.

“This is the problem…..When you look at a conflict from a very myopic point of view, and you only see an underdog and a bullydog and you don’t see that actually it’s far more complex then this” - Aimen Dean

Some on here should really take note

Is that Aimen Dean, the Al Qaeda member?

Stalin and Russia started WW2 as Allies of Nazi Germany, was only until Operation Barbarossa in June 41 where he changed allegiance.

Battle of Britain was 1940 unless my memory fails me, when Russia was still an ally of Germany. Without Churchill persistence and the bravery of the few we'd all be ****ed. Anyway brandy time now so the history lesson has to end for today. I'll leave the children to start squabbling again !

Yeah but also without russia we would have been ****ed too (WW2)
