As someone said in the Commons just now, she'll get it done more quickly if she investigates the days when there weren't any parties.

Why shouldn't Johnson just put the record straight now? He knows if there was a party on 20th May and he knows if he was there or not.

It's a fair question, and you might add that if he wasn't at the party, you would expect him to scotch that immediately. But he's surely within his legal and procedural rights to insist on waiting for the report he commissioned to be published before commenting. All anyone can expect for now is the report is delivered in a timely manner.

Its bizarre that any other minister who appears on tv can quickly say that they didnt attend this or any other party, yet the PM wont say. The fact that sue gray has to investigate these accusations has passed by now. The damage is done in the evidence of that email.

A very wise man once wrote 'theres no smoke without fire' , he also wrote 'its what they dont say that matters in politics'.
Sadly Bob your veil slipped long ago. You spend more time on here bashing the Tories than anyone. Trying to mock me over something you don’t understand actually makes you look thicker than you come across. Sorry mate but true. Before you try to act clever you should understand a bit more. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Oh crap the political Chelsea boy is back gluing himself to the QPR politics thread. Quick I better get posting something generic on the football thread!

Oh dear, poor Ellers.
Nothing poor about me Stroller. If people are going to try and mock me I will give it back.
I know for some of you this party is worse than the holocaust but for others there are more important things in life to be getting on with.

A very wise man

Not everything no, sorry didn’t mean that. However Johnson’s job history shows he’s been sacked twice for being a stranger to the truth amongst a series of serious professional and personality flaws, in that respect it can’t be a surprise those have become apparent since he became PM.

I can’t think of another candidate who has even close to the checkered history Johnson has, certainly nobody whose been sacked for telling so many lies.

Anyway let’s hope he’s removed and held accountable for his actions and a serious politician gets the job.

Yep it's true to say that myself and probably many others who wanted Brexit to happen held our noses a little bit when voting for Boris.
However, his ineptitude, lying and general crapness have moved on to a whole new level imo.
Plus, we probably all have to accept a person's faults when voting for them, as no one is perfect.

I can understand why people voted for johnson. He was/is full of character, made policies that appealed to certain folk (despite not delivering on them) and as you say, Corbyn was the only other choice.
He has been found out now, for the charlatan he is. For the sake of the Tory party, but much more for the sake of the UK, this man has to and deserves to go!

Excellent post Bob. Spot on.

No, im as thick as pig ****
So rather then mock me ask me and I will explain.
It’s standard practice for Politician's to know when to talk and when to say nothing. Thatcher was a master at it as was Blair. When they don’t answer you should ask why? A simple example “Boris were you at that party”? Boris: “ let’s just wait for the report”.
Another today was when asked about the PM’s resignation, Millibland never answered… for once he played that well.
A standard rule in politics is when someone doesn’t say something ask why, because sometimes what they don’t say is more important. I hope I have cleared that up. If not go on Google Scholar and read a few essays on it. :emoticon-0148-yes:
