I agree with much of your post - particularly that Corbyn was the worst possible leader at the worst possible time for Labour - but not the bit I emboldened. It was abundantly clear that Boris was a charlatan long before he became PM. His career and personal life time and time again showed him to be a narcissistic liar and cheat who will say anything and walk over anyone (or any rule) to further his own ambition. And don't even start to give me the "they're all like that" nonsense - there are plenty of politicians who have resigned for lesser issues than those Boris has presided over, and not many that would have made it to his position following his sackings in journalism or politics. He was one of the worst Foreign Secretaries we ever had. It was madness that the selectorate picked him. I was very glad to have voted Hunt in the Tory leadership election, and to have resigned on the day Boris became PM. I couldn't be happier to see him squirming around in a mess entirely of his own making.

Edit - sorry, just seen that Wills said the same thing. Still felt good to rant :emoticon-0103-cool:

Ah so this blatant disregard of the rules Johnson implemented, not to be confused with one of the many others, was just prior to the Barnard Caste fiasco. No wonder he was defended.

In all the stuff posted today on social media one post did make me smirk. YouGuv/Sky did a poll and 50% of people thought Boris should resign for someone to reply “And the poll was conducted in the Labour canteen” <laugh>

In the last election here I voted labour
I didn't vote for jacinda but I did vote for my local mp
Labour won jacinda is the current leader
If the choice I had was for jacinda or the Tory leader I probably wouldn't have voted for either party
Does anyone on here live in Boris's electorate otherwise you didn't vote for Boris
If and when Boris gets booted out then you won't have voted for or against the next leader either
    It's not the us yet

Seems Johnson is going to make a statement before PMQs tomorrow. I reckon his best chance of survival would be for him to own up and apologise. Is he capable of doing that?

He won’t resign but saying sorry sadly won’t cut it now. He had his chance at the start and didn’t man up. I reckon he will kick can down the road.

I think you jumped the gun again. :emoticon-0105-wink:
On your earlier post regarding Boris and statement. A Prime Minister would never resign in the House before PMQs. I think he will either waffle or come out with a bombshell that he wasn’t there… however I think it will be a waffle.
