Nothing to enjoy in the behaviour of Cummings. That he is some saviour or martyr for telling tales on colleagues is nothing short of a disgrace. He was a part of all that happens within politics and supported it - and we all know that all political parties have their smarmy takers who dirty politics and leave behind the real politicians (who are now very rare) who struggle to get to work within government to improve, change for the better and manage the country to be the best it can.

It is almost impossible to tell the difference between the truth, the lies and the covert words that depart political mouths and leave us all trying to pick the truth from their everyday commentary. There is, unsurprisingly, so little respect for any MPs - and I mean all parties - these days.

I just find you funny, Ellers.

If your 'mate' goes round cracking skulls, he shouldn't be in the job.
I find you funny as well Stroller especially with your political predictions. By the way I never said he does crack skulls. I said they should send in his unit to crack a few skulls. It’s now becoming a regular thing with people showing utter disrespect for our police. It needs to be nipped in the bud.

I would have thought being the PMs adviser that he would have had to sign some sort of OSA or some confidentiality forms. If he says too much he will be gagged.

There are many good and honest politicians around, just not in Johnson's government. Johnson is a proven liar who has surrounded himself with similar characters. Remember how they all queued up to back Cummings over his Barnard Castle jaunt?

There were some clearly principled, experienced, intelligent MPs, even if you didn’t agree with their politics, purged for refusing to be blindly loyal to the Brexit/Johnson fantasy. Even their biggest cheerleaders can admit to themselves it’s a pitiful group. ****ing Raab is the actual Foreign Secretary.

I don’t think Cummings is being held up as a martyr at all. There’s a rhetoric going around that those who despised him and thought he talked out of his arse have done a 180, I still despise him and think he talks out of his arse. He certainly seems to have an axe to grind. If he can provide evidence of his claims... well time will tell.

You could look at the flip side of course, there were people who defended him through everything, the castle trip, the lies... and now seem to suggest he is full of **** and very disparaging over his character.

Wasn’t he slightly confused when it was pointed out Britain was an island... but but Abbott

Never get into a pissing contest with a skunk.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

It's already highly entertaining and it's likely to get better. Cummings is indeed a skunk, but I'm pretty confident he's telling the truth - indeed he says he has recordings of some conversations. There must be a decent chance that this could bring Johnson down.

You might just as well say that by delaying lockdown, some non-Covid suffers like cancer patients were able to get treatment.

I was anti-lockdown originally, but have admitted I was wrong. Are you now saying that the lockdowns were wrong and that Johnson was right to say he would rather see the bodies pile high than have another one?

I'm saying there was a fine line between calling another lockdown and not. It's a double edged sword. People die because of lockdown, as well as lives being saved.

As far as the claims over what Boris said, at the least, those claiming it need to shrug off their anonymity.

The BBC is now reporting that he did say it.

I suppose you won't believe it until Andrew Neil confirms it, though.

If Johnson and Raab are unable to secure the liberty of British citizen Nazanin Zaghari- Ratcliffe, a woman who has been essentially tortured for years by medieval ****ers because the British government refuses to repay a debt that it acknowledges it owes, perhaps they could do us all a favour and do the time for her. And take Starmer, Cummings, Sturgeon and all the other self serving twats with them.
