It's not that we don't care enough, it's that too many don't care at all. I listened to a string of people on the Nicky Campbell phone-in - probably Tory 'red-wall' converts - who seemed to think it outrageous that there should be any questioning of Johnson and the Tories at all. The lying, sleaze and corruption is expected and accepted.

Kind of logical that the sort of stupid ****s who buy that he did his best will buy that he deserves to skim a bit off the top.

Sorry that’s what I meant.

Thanks, I just did.

Ellers has gone quiet, hasn't he? Central Office must be concerned about this stuff and hasn't been able to brief him yet as to what his response should be.

This **** is going to get very entertaining.
Hang on a minute... a while back you all hated Cummings and now you are hanging on his every word. What’s important as just confirmed by a political correspondent is that Boris and the Tory ratings have actually gone up. It will blow over.

Even Alistair Campbell is telling us what a helluva guy Cummings is now! As for Barnard Castle, all is forgiven!

I can’t see this cutting through to the plebs in East Brexitshire either. Far too busy complaining about how it’s been made illegal by Labour to be proud to be English.

He's still a complete ****, but what he has to say about Johnson is very interesting, if not surprising. Johnny Mercer described this government as being an environment where 'almost nobody tells the truth'.

Boris keeps a Machiavellian court but if he produces results on covid vaccines, trade agreements, the general economy etc the public will overlook this, seeing it as him being a wily political animal.

Of course, what they won't forgive is corruption, and I don't think anyone's really laid a heavy glove on Boris yet. If it comes, and let's face it, governments with massive majorities and virtually no opposition, are prone to it, it will probably come from an ex-minister using his contacts for money.

Cummings may yet produce a killer blow to Boris, but he hasn't yet, truthfully I don't expect it.

We'll see. It'll be fun, though.

Spot on nobody has actually laid a decent punch on Boris. Captain Hindsight is all puff and no punch... actually Cummings has landed a better blows than Starmer ever has.
Also agree, the success of roll out, getting Brexit done and with the economy bouncing back you can see why Boris is doing well in all polls.
