Amazing timing of the verdict? <magic> And what is in the small print that they don't seem to be reporting is that they don't need the agreement of other member states? <yikes> Funny Goldie, how all through this process the EU said it was for all the states to decide.

They twist their own rules to suit their purposes. We know that. They always have!

Funny road of events this week...
Grieve gets that bill through which virtually kills no deal.
May is on phone last night to Tusk.
He tweets that cryptic message.
The ECJ bring out the verdict just before the vote.
Rumours are May will now postpone vote.
All the media and remain politicians are coming out with more project fear.

It really seems to be a complete stitch-up of our democracy. I can see mayhem if we don't leave.

Lord Kerr, the chap that drafted Article 50, has always said that it's reversible. The court has just confirmed this. No rule twisting.
So why bring the result out today? Don't try and act stupid Stroller, you and everyone else knows it is to cause as much damage to Brexit as possible.

Wouldn't you say that it was important for MPs to have the confirmation before they vote on May's deal?

Or a democratic celebration on the final say because of how the original result contained the protest vote The 48 was solid still is

The ultimate question for true democracy was always going to be the final say so even without a second vote it will be clear democratically that the solid remain vote could eclipse and overtake the original leave vote ... that’s true real time democracy... we voted to leave but after two years of consideration the overall balance changed

Brexiteers may have to accept this

London and all the major cities plus Scotland and the NI could win the final day

It’s not over until it’s over
Of course there will be moaning if this happens leading with the democratic angle but as we have seen zero so far from Brexiteers in the form of public protest I believe it will all fade away and snuff it ... the political parties have always known this imo and now the no deal idea has been democratically removed by influence not any vote then I predict Brexiteers will switch to supporting a final vote out of desperation.

That’s when it’s over imo

As a remainer life looking a lot better at the moment as by the corrupt UK process it all seems to be heading in the right direction now at last

A super soft Brexit if we have to or even the real chance to remain ... looking great plus a bonus to see people finally realise that the UK governance has always been corrupt and hypocritical.

Hopefully the shame of the UK political system will stick at last to older generations... time caught up with them and their backwards thinking. Plenty of bright new people coming through to re build the UK hopefully again with a reformed EU

i'm glad i'm not the only one who has noticed this today...

Anyway, for anyone interested an update on the boy/Vinnie Van Gogh/ Evander/Lugless Douglas/Condom Head (bandages provided an interesting effect).

Had the dressings off today and the surgeons did a fantastic job. Graft has taken well and once bruising has gone he won’t have a weird half moon shape missing from his ear, just an interesting story. Nurses delighted. Result and thanks Coventry University Hospital.

His ribs are still ****ed though but no sympathy there. He spent Saturday afternoon/evening at a black tie MMA event. His mate, a mackem hipster mechanic, was fighting and won in 42 seconds with a ‘flying Guillotine’ whatever that is, then they went out clubbing to celebrate. Anaesthetised by beer he danced a lot and could barely move yesterday. A couple more days off work then back on light duties (painting). No apparent psychological damage, certainly not cowering at home. No news from police.

So the precedent would be created, that every close general election, must be rerun, for a "true democracy" ??

Utter tosh !!
Worse than that. It will kill 1000 years of democracy.
People don't realise the implications of this. It would be much better to have a 'No deal" then, to not implement the Brexit vote. It will kill politics in this country for a lifetime. It will be a rise of far-right, populists.
With some idiots in this country can you imagine how welcome EU citizens will be?
