In a television appearance, Mr Macron is also likely to accept blame for having given an impression of arrogance that has spurred tens of thousands of so-called gilets jaunes or yellow vest protesters to block roads for the past three weeks and skirmish with police in Paris and other cities. “Obviously we underestimated the need of our fellow citizens to express themselves and tell of their difficulties,” Benjamin Griveaux, the government spokesman, said. “It is anger that is difficult to understand from an office in Paris.”…
And just like magic they can pull this out of the hat... Brexit: UK can unilaterally revoke article 50, says EU court https://www.theguardian.com/politic...ilaterally-stop-brexit-process-eu-court-rules What a surprise... This is from the same lot that takes years to sort things but then a day before the vote, what timing! No wonder Tusk was tweeting yesterday.
Well I did say a revolution was required They work for themselves and we are to blame because we let them
The above was true These kids decided to stir it up These kids have quickly learnt that they are disgraced by French society They have also learnt the law Better than England by a country mile Still we do get to run over mopeds now
Oh no Sky are at it again They are talking to 4 people (2 remain and 2 leave). The leave bloke (as usual) is as thick as a 2222. Doesn't have a clue then starts calling for a second vote. They are as bad as CH4 and the BBC.
May is holding a cabinet conference call this morning. Looks like she's bottled and will postpone the vote.
Fair play to the young on TV today who both gave some valid points and held their corner really well. Both said they are now old enough to vote and would vote 'Leave'. When the interviewer said, "but surely many of your friends would vote remain"? one replied, "actually it's about even". This is probably why that MP who wants another vote says "we should include the 3 million EU citizens that live here in the vote and 16-18yr olds. Just to make sure they have a chance.
Sure, an independent tribunal. It could take years, but that's ok, we are getting the interest on the monies
I wish that now that the UK can, following today's court decision, she is sorting the cancellation of the whole f****** Brexit. But most likely she will try to wriggle enough out of the EU on the N.Ireland back stop to get the DUP and enough hard Tory Brexiteers on her side to win a vote, be it tomorrow, a postponed vote, or a 2nd vote after a defeat and a few more trips to Brussels.
Amazing timing of the verdict? And what is in the small print that they don't seem to be reporting is that they don't need the agreement of other member states? Funny Goldie, how all through this process the EU said it was for all the states to decide.
Her only hope is the EU have mercy on her and put an end date to the backstop. But they won't. The Irish in particular are determined there won't be any changes so May must be dead meat surely
