WTF has been going on today? £ taking a hammering against both the $ and the €. I am stuck in a souless hotel in Copenhagen working until noon tomorrow and can’t see a particular reason. More government instability?

You know the old saying...Theresa coughs and the economy catches a cold

Then again, may be its Grant Schnapps and his mates plotting

More proof, if needed, that the US is mental.

Bump stocks, used to turn a semi automatic rifle into a fully automatic assault weapon, have sold out across America in the wake of suggestions they might be banned.

I actually found her quite pretentious. Throw in a few fancy words a couple of 'liberalisms' and she thinks she knows everything. I thought the blond northern bint on the end spoke more sense.

She summed Johnson up pretty well. He is a national embarrassment, but gets away with it because people say 'it's just Boris being Boris'. He should stop being Bojo the clown and start acting like a responsible adult. As Eddie Mair said, do we really want Bernard Manning as Foreign Secretary?

On the grounds that Bernard Manning is dead, I reckon he’d do a better job than Johnson.

So here we are facing a variety of the biggest national challenges for decades and the Tories are still more concerned about petty intra party bitching and who gets to be their **** in chief. You are supposed to be managing stuff for the whole country, even those who didn’t vote for you, you bunch of ****ers. If a plane carrying the cabinet came down mid Atlantic would we notice the difference in our government? Can any body remember what May actually said at her party conference?

****ing useless and leaving the door wide open for a bunch of incompetent ideologues who will be just as bad. Brexit is the least of our problems, we have a self harming political class.

Well, you better start getting used to him because he won't be going away anytime soon.
If May sacks him she will be shooting herself in the foot. if she keeps him as Foreign Sec he will shoot himself in the foot but either way he will be around. Personally, I think our country needs a colourful character like Boris. He is the quintessential Englishman, the upper-class toff that goes down well abroad. Would rather have him any day than that Marxist tw2t Corbyn and that awful Abbott woman who would ruin our country and sell us out as quickly as they could. They would never be respected anywhere.

He does not go down well abroad. They look at him with slack jawed horror and then downgrade whatever respect they have left for us in proportion. He is an international joke which isn’t funny. The good thing is he is running out of money, can’t live on a Secretary of State’s salary without the wedge he used to get having opinions for cash in various papers.

Rees Mogg would also be an international object of derision, but no fear of him accepting a role including genuine responsibility where his much vaunted principles would actually be tested. Much more comfortable to stay on his wife’s Somerset stately pile raking in the dosh from his investment fund and telling us what is wrong and right (or passing on what his God tells him what is wrong and right). Though he does do it in a self effacing way with a bit of humour.

Stop mixing up those bureaucrats in the EU with proper leaders.
