He lives inside your head constantly, doesn’t he?
The **** is impossible to avoid.

You said this...
Agreed, but only true if sufficient numbers coming in actually work and don’t just take benefits.
The **** is impossible to avoid.

I'd say it was, and this is the man that still fans the flames of immigrant hatred.
Are you blind? Are you not seeing the move to the Far Right in Europe due to uncontrolled immigration? This is exactly what Farage was warning about. It's mostly the numbers, though there are cultural issues too. Wake up to what's happening beyond our shores
Let's all open our houses to lovely white Ukrainian asylum seekers. Let's provide them with safe passage routes so they don't have to risk their lives to get here.
Why not find a Ukrainian bride?

Where was the Farage poster stirring up hatred against Ukrainians?

What has been interesting in this GE is how much stronger TMV has become. There has been a number of independent MPs elected in places like Dewsbury, as featured by the Beeb yesterday, where Palestine was one of the key local issues that won the day.
Up until now TMV relied on Labour to be their voice but as they grow in number they have the representation to go it alone. Their rejection of Ashworth and heckling of Phillips are all evidence of a growing confidence.
In the Sunday Times today, Blair warns there must be a plan to control immigration, if the UK is to avoid the disruption seen in Europe, indeed all over the Western world. He recognises the cultural issues. He says "There is clearly a challenge with part of the Muslim community but that is a topic requiring its own special analysis". He recommends the introduction of ID cards. "We should move as the world is moving to digital ID". Doesn't happen often, but I agree with him fully.
As many will recall, I have been opposed to ID cards in the past but am persuaded that they’re essential now.
It wouldn't bother me if we had to have ID cards. Everything is known about us nowadays anyway. You're far from being alone, Ubes. It's a different world now. Labour would get credit points by bringing them in
Cos I typed fish & chips, I'm fully expecting my phone to miraculously show me adverts for local takeaways
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place on this issue. The vast majority of people coming over on boats are young blokes (I think Goldy may have pointed this out). I would have a much more sympathetic view if they were children or women. I also stated, which in my opinion was just common sense, when we left the EU, we would just replace the white immigrants with the non white immigrants. That has happened tenfold. In life, I generally like to look at prevention before I do the cure. What causes this type of immigration/asylum, is it mainly wars? Of which we usually play some part either directly or indirectly? Or is it because we have such lovely weather here and fish & chips?
There I have to ever so politely disagree with you Ubes. Brexit was 99% to do with immigration/free movement. The imposition of rules, of which we had a say in was just complete bollox to the everyday man on the street. I certainly know that not a single rule whilst being a member of the EU hindered my life in any way.I have absolutely no issue with replacing white immigrants with purple, blue or green ones. I said ages ago that one of the post-Brexit things we should have done was to forge closer ties with the Commonwealth countries.
On a separate note, I have no recollection that Brexit was much to do with the free movement of peoples within member states. It was more to do with the imposition of rules from unelected, faceless bureaucrats in Brussels.
