There you go again, Stroller. Frankly, throwing the race card every time is quite pathetic too. It shows that you actually don’t have any answers. You’re so bloated on your own sniffy superiority that anybody else with legitimate questions about immigration must be a racist. As we have established that the bad egg label is subjective and can be used against those with views we find objectionable, I find your constant hysterical use of the race card objectionable and therefore conclude that you’re a bad egg. I will happily be your bad egg because I want controlled immigration.

None whatsoever, just as long as we work out how many we can take, what skills and professions we need, they properly respect the laws of the land, and make a positive contribution to society. Exactly what I’d expect from all of us already here.
For those legitimately seeking asylum and protection from persecution elsewhere, coming here with nothing, we should welcome them, offer our protection, help them get back on their feet and then expect the same from them as above.
I actually agree with Stroller that we should establish the means for these people to apply for asylum in the UK before they arrive here illegally.

Generally not the immigrants themselves (though immigrants from some countries do integrate better than others). It’s mass immigration we’ve seen in the West over the last 20 years that’s the problem.
In Iran this can only be good, although the hard line "Supreme Leader" still rules the roost.

Suggesting that people would risk their lives to get here so that they can live on the very meagre benefits that are provided is rather pathetic, I would say.

No, it's the conversation that everyone wants, and big beasts like Blair and Mandelson are today urging Starmer to have if he wants to avoid the kind of problems we are seeing in France. Screaming "racism" when immigration is discussed isn't helpful.
I'm not persuaded by any argument that holds we must continually increase the UK population. All immigrants coming in will get old and sick, so more must come in. It's simply unsustainable and will badly damage the environment in the UK. The natural world in the UK is at its most damaged level ever anyway, due to loss of habitat and intensive farming. When "freedom of movement" loving Tony Blair says there's a major issue with high levels of immigration, you know there's a problem
