I see shoplifters are to be jailed. Which will please a certain section of the electorate. Shame that the police don’t catch many, if any shoplifters. Like burglars (just about a zero detection rate in many places) and, ffs, rapists.

You can legislate to torture and execute all criminals and keep the revenge merchants happy, but it’s an empty threat if none are caught and prosecuted. Zero deterrence effect.

The biggest shoplifters and burglars can be found seated in the House of Commons or the House of Lords, so it shouldn't be that hard to round up and incarcerate them all

‘Repeat’ offenders, apparently. We’re all victims these days.

I didn’t know….thought he was an odd ball but didn’t know he was a king nonce.
We all have our suspicions of Prince Andrew but I’m guessing he has a bank account, probably with Coutts.
And I still hear Michael Jackson tunes played on the wireless.
