The UK government has decided to recognise the EU's product safety symbol indefinitely, in a post-Brexit climbdown.

From the end of next year, goods such as light bulbs and toys were meant to carry a new UK-only mark to be sold in Great Britain.

However, the business department has now confirmed the EU symbol will continue to be accepted on most goods.

Trade body Make UK welcomed the move, saying it would increase certainty.

There's a House of Lords inquiry into Mone's conduct but that has been suspended for now, pending a National Crime Agency inquiry into her company, Medpro. That could presumably result in criminal charges against Mone and her family. That will take as long as it takes...

Or it might take as long as people forget.
Can’t see Mone doing time for what seems quite obviously fraud.
Hopefully I’ll be proved wrong and the witch will see chokey

Then there will have to be an inquiry into the inquiry. Prisons are at capacity as it is after budget cuts and closures. There won’t be room for all these Tory politicians, donors and mates once we’ve locked up the single mum who nicked some extortionately priced baby formula to feed her hungry kid.

If they’re lucky they might get £4 a week to live on a Tory donor’s barge for a year while their asylum claim sits at the back of a filing cabinet.

It won't be forgotten. These cross-border investigations involving different jurisdictions are complex and take time. People like Mone set them up that way to avoid tax and muddy the waters. She's suspended from the Lords and knows the spotlight is on her and hers

I wish I had your faith in the system. Sadly I don’t and realised long ago that things are skewed to benefit the mega rich
 
They were just about to arrest Johnson/Mone/Hancock/Hancock’s mate’s cousin’s wife’s dog’s PPE company but then this happened and it’s massive.
