I can totally sympathise with someone who doesn’t feel any party represents their views well. I am one of those after all.

I can’t sympathise with someone who feels that way and happens to vote Tory anyway. I think everyone deep down knows what this Tory party is. For some people that’s just no bad thing, deep down.

Mate I sincerely doubt more understanding attitudes would somehow have Labour close to winning. The people of this country have been poisoned by propaganda for decades.

    The Guardian... <yikes>
I knew the Tories were powerful but to create storms and rising water is a new one on me?
Shame they didn't mention the reason for austerity was due to Labour spending all the country's money leaving them little choice.

Bruv they’ve had a decade. Austerity firstly doesn’t work and secondly is now very clearly a choice rather than there being any serious argument for it being a necessity.

They could have prepared better for this weather. They knew it was coming. They had been warned.

Perfect. That's pretty much word for word how I would have expected you to respond, totally ignoring the points made in the article.

Labour had more years before (spending all the money). You were too young in 95 to understand exactly what Labour were doing. Spent too much money on wars and trying to be popular. As for being prepared for such things... mmm

The Guardian has an axe to grind with the Tories (like some others). I sit and listen to their reporters when the do the 'Papers' on Sky and BBC and they all say the same anti-Tory crap. It's pointless bothering to read their stuff.
You better get used to the Tories because they will be in power for at least 10-15yrs.

Debt as a percentage of GDP was low throughout Labour’s time until the crisis hit and has got worse since the Tories took over but I’m sure you’re right.

I've seen nothing to suggest that visas will be brought in. The UK may require passports from EU travellers and not just i.d. cards as at present. Otherwise, EU tourists are the same as Americans, where tourists don't need visas coming to the UK if the stay is up to 6 months

You never discuss the money wasted by Labour. As for the crisis... they handled that well didn't they?
You live in Brackers, you ever want to talk about Labour and its effects on people I am more than happy to discuss.
I don't need to look up any facts or figures because I saw it first hand. Hospitals/Schools/Business.
Labour should never be let near this country's money again (well they won't for at least 10-15 years thank god).

Of course they've been in favour of the EU. Ireland have been net recipients of the EU between 1973 and 2016!

He is talking rubbish. He was trying to say that tourists won't be allowed to come here and we will lose money. Utter rubbish... project fear mark IV. Boris brought us the most successful olympics with tourists from all over the World and once we leave the 'Third EU Reich' tourists will still come.

Yep. I expect they’ll appreciate the role the EU has played in their development more than we have.
