That’s interesting mate.....ive been following Clapton F.C. (loosely) for a few years and knew there was a dispute between the fans and the club but ‘cos of work and ‘our’ club I haven’t read much about what’s happening over there for a while.....I’m assuming this is a new club formed by the fans ?
I’ll try to read up in it over the weekend as I’ve only just got up after a night block.....(first cardiac arrest this week, so feeling a bit weird and strange )

Yes I think it’s a new club, because the owners of the old one were arseholes. All on the very well put together website, including a clear and lucid explanation as to why they can’t take new orders for shirts - they and the manufacturers completely unprepared for astonishing demand, and both tiny operations.

NASA predicts solar minimum will be at its lowest by 2020
NASA has predicted that solar minimum, a process the sun undertakes every eleven years is set to be at its lowest by 2020. Solar minimum occurs when sunspots slowly disappear, causing activity on the sun to be reduced and a cold front over the earth.
Scientists are reporting that the sun has been free of sunspots for a total of 133 days this year.
With only 241 days of 2018 passing, that means the sun has been blank for the majority of the year.
Experts warn this is a sign that the solar minimum is on its way.
Website Space Weather says: “The sun is spotless again. For the 133rd day this year, the face of the sun is blank.

“To find a year with fewer sunspots, you have to go back to 2009 when the sun was experiencing the deepest solar minimum in a century.
“Solar minimum has returned, bringing extra cosmic rays, long-lasting holes in the sun's atmosphere, and strangely pink auroras.”
The sun follows cycles of roughly 11 years where it reaches a solar maximum and then a solar minimum.
During a solar maximum, the sun gives off more heat and is littered with sunspots. Less heat in a solar minimum is due to a decrease in magnetic waves.
The sun was not expected to head into a solar minimum until around 2020, but it appears to be heading in early which could prove to be bad news.

The last time there was a prolonged solar minimum, it led to a ‘mini ice-age’, scientifically known as the Maunder minimum - which lasted for 70 years.
The Maunder minimum, which saw seven decades of freezing weather, began in 1645 and lasted through to 1715, and happened when sunspots were exceedingly rare.
During this period, temperatures dropped globally by 1.3 degrees Celsius leading to shorter seasons and ultimately food shortages.

Vencore Weather, a meteorological website, said: “Low solar activity is known to have consequences on Earth’s weather and climate and it also is well correlated with an increase in cosmic rays that reach the upper part of the atmosphere.
“The blank sun is a sign that the next solar minimum is approaching and there will be an increasing number of spotless days over the next few years.”

Just read a review of a book called Why We Get The Wrong Politicians by Isabel Hardman. Looks interesting though I doubt I’ll read it as I have a very long to do list in reading of things which won’t make me angry. Apparently cash, patronage and ability to make a noise being valued over actual intelligence all have a role to play. But the bit which caught my attention was about Chris Grayling, the Death Star of Ministers, destroying any department he gets his hands on. After leaving Justice a complete basket case, thinking that his self confessed total ignorance of the law was somehow an advantage, he is applying the same technique to Transport. Only the distressing knowledge that whoever appoints someone clearly lacking in basic competence to roles like this is probably equally incompetent makes the ‘careers’ of some of these ****wits comprehensible.

Apparently Bill Deedes, one time Minister and also prominent journalist, used to cringe seeing politicians interviewed by journalists of demonstrably higher intelligence.

Been saying that countless times but always seems to fall on deaf ears.
Personally I’ve got no problem with Jews but like many think the state of Israel is a barbaric regime that gets away with invading foreign lands and killing people with out repent.

I still cannot understand the anti Corbyn viewpoint in any shape or form.

He is the first politician to actually care about equality hence why the establishment work so hard to bring him down.

I won’t vote for him ever however as I am not a hypocrite... I want more treasures and play things plus enough money to buy the never ending list of toys that haven’t been invented yet. I do not want to share nor contribute anymore than I have to

Besides, if Zionism is the establishment and then development and protection of a state for Jewish people, then anti Zionism is the negation of these things, which to me seems fundamentally anti Semitic. It also makes me a (non Jewish) Zionist, albeit a passive one. But I am still able to criticise the Israeli government (and man it deserves criticising) without denying the right of Israel to exist and prosper. A proper anti Zionist (which I suspect you are not) wants Israel wiped from the map. I am also in favour of a coherent, secular state for the Palestinians but I have no idea how to achieve it.

And anyway, a competent leader would have dealt with this **** decisively ages ago. The Labour Party is never going to influence the Middle East, there are plenty of serious things close to home they should be addressing but aren’t. But not much to be expected from a man who thinks that opening a ‘dialogue for peace’ involves only talking to one side and attending memorial services for terrorists. It’s also not surprising that these twats are now totally tied up in semantics, given that their grasp of balanced critical thinking is so tenuous.

Last paragraph in particular is bang on the money. A classic example of a peacemaker is George Mitchell, who, in his dealings on Northern Ireland was even-handed, objective, diplomatic and constructive.

Jezza on the other hand, is so far up the arse of Islamic anti-semitic terrorist organisations that just the soles of his feet are showing. His intransigence over the last months and his refusal to deal with the media over the issue makes it clear he will never change. Jewish leaders in the UK are not so stupid as to believe that a meeting and a cup of tea with him will alter his prejudiced stance.

Would those Jewish people in this country who are so demanding of protection for the Israeli state want to go and live there? Probably not.

The whole (mostly fabricated) anti-Semitism thing has become a massive millstone for Labour, and as a natural (but not uncritical) Labour voter, I find it immensely frustrating that Corbyn hasn't properly dealt with it. As you say, there are more important issues closer to home that need to be addressed.

Corbyn has, in my view, has made great strides in taking Labour back to what it should be in terms of domestic policy, and that is where its focus should be.

I’m not sure of your point on this, Stroller. There are seemingly oppressed peoples all over the globe that I’d like to see protected, but that doesn’t mean that I’d want to go live where they do, even if they share something with me.
