The Brighton situation is everything that I dislike about the playoffs, where the team that has been the third most consistent, in the league, could miss out on promotion as a result of misfortune (injuries) and their opponents hitting a bit of form.
I didn't watch the game, so can't comment on it, other than to say the loss of 4 players, at various moments in the game, and playing for approximately 30 minutes with 10 men, has effectively undone everything they had worked for, since last summer.
I hope they have enough depth in their squad, to be able to put out a decent side, and turn things around for the second leg, and at least give themselves a chance in the final.
