Of course your right premier , no question . My worry is that the regular fans over the past few seasons , who can barely afford the tickets , won't get any . If we didn't reach the Premier League , those are the fans who the team would be counting on , not the ones with tons of money and a new love for Swansea City Football Club .
I can see both sides to this one... but what are they supposed to do hold back thousands of tickets for the people who can only get to one or two games a year, it just ain't gonna happen and if you do go to 15-20 games the price for the South Stand last month was so low.
Afraid you can't wait until we get promoted and then complain.... sorry can't please everybody, just be thankful we are gonna be playing to a full house every week.

This situation was always gonna happen. I cant honestly see how anyone else expected any different when we got promoted.
I unfortunately cannot attend most games due to me being a single parent but am for one pleased with the old, new and future support of the Swans.
Do you really think clubs get bigger by operating any other way?? Do you not think that these new supporters will bring their children. How else are football supporters born?
What should we have done? Asked for completion of a test to ensure your a true fan before a season ticket is issued?
I cant honestly see what peoples problems are with any of this apart from two reasons:
1. You cant get a season ticket as they are in high demand since being promoted
2. You dont want to buy a season ticket but want to be able to go to one or two games maybe due to work commitments etc etc

Surely online applications would have been easier. My neighbour left 9pm last night and still isn't home.
Sorry but this going back to the 70s. If supporters can queue all night why can't the ticket office open all night or earlier.
If as said the plastics phoned and got there's, but you have a 1000 people queuing all night because there not corporate shame on the club.
As for the people queuing you are top notch supporters

Yep - Hats off to those who have been at The Liberty since 11pm last night. The heat today has been incredble so they have done well to survive!
Mr magoo , you are spot on. As I stated much earlier in the thread, all STH from last season have had ample time to renew before the play off final. And those who could not afford to pay for a ST in one go could have either used credit or applied for the payment plan offered by the club. To those of you who state they don't buy a season ticket coz they can't go to all games, it is was still cheaper to get a ST than buy one off tickets even if you only went to 15 home games. And looking at the " it's not fair coz I went to x number of games" brigade, most of them state they went to over 15 games, so I really font agree with the argument. If you wanted to see the swans for the 11/12 season you should have bought a season ticket before the final.

One thing on the ST debate fans should be mindful of is that out of ave crowwd of 16k, only around 8k are STH.
Yes some of the 8k walkup will change too STH but what about fans from further affield? They are important and all loyal.
The 2k tickets for each match will go and what's the backing more too the prawn sandwich brigade.

I'm a bit leery of this thread for obvious reasons & I'll make this my last here .Just a few questions . I wonder how many tickets were left when the whistle ended the final against Reading ? How many have been sold since ? How many by internet & how many at the ticket office ? How many of the internet ones are by first time buyers ? How many people down trying to buy tickets had season tickets last season ?

Jack ash - no disrespect as you say, but your last post is contradiction personified. You state you spent fortune following the swans but couldnt afford a season ticket? I suggest you plan your finances a bit better. I have been a sth since 1976 and for the current equivalent price of just over a fiver a week.

Would love to get a ST but being down on the south coast and due to my Son playing football on Saturdays then it's not really an option. Have followed the Swans since 1979 been through the good times and BAD times. Me and my son have seen about 10 games home and away this year. I'm as disappointed that good honest fans, that have followed the club through thick and thin will miss out. I even contemplated getting two ST but can't really justify this for perhaps 5 - 6 home games. As were in the BIG league now, we will have more fnas take an interest in being a regular supporter of The Swans, which is good really for the club as this will bring in more revenue into the club, which I hope will make us competative in The Premier League. I'm affraid I have to be very philasophical, and hope that I can pick up match day tickets. What I will say, to me, it's not about watching Man Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool as most will want that, I'm happy to watch Bolton, Fulham & Stoke as I love my club, just hope the NEW St holders show loyalty to the club should we go back down. As I will always follow The SWANS!! STID!!!!

I do sympathise with fans who can only make it to less than say 15 games a season , as buying a ST is not then financially viable. I also do not like the fact that there will be some ST sold to non fans e.g corporate just coz they want to see the opposition and not the swans. My amazement is with those who go to more than 15 games a season not getting ST before the final. I know it is a lot of money in

Apologies jack ash , I didn't realise that it was only 5 games you initially thought you could go to.you say that you 'stated that' in your post. My mistake as your Statement of only being able to go to 5 games has mysteriously been removed from my version of this forum . Must be a bug!!
Can I just say that I could go corporate as my uncle has a box, and has done for years, now by your definition he is a non fan because he can afford it, if I was willing to sit there I would be counted as a non fan as well! Really I fully agree with magoo it's tough **** ! Obviously it's going to be over subscribed, and people are going to miss out, for me it makes business sense to sell as many tickets as possible for every game, you want success at our club this is part of it!
Unfortunately you´re never going to please everyone Aber! I managed to get one thank christ, obviously this is a sore issue for everyone, but it´s done now so by moaning about it, it just looks a bit like sour grapes a bit now. The club will no doubt have noticed and taken on board peoples concerns about this, and if there´s anything that can be done to address it, I´m sure they will.
