I've had so many strange things happen to me over the years I have come to the conclusion that there is something there what I don't know but I know there is something if that makes any sense lol
Sorry to hear that sad news plym. Will raise my Glass to Doreen a brave woman.. She will be at rest now with her loved one..
I don't particularly believe personally but then again I don't knock those that do. Bit like on the Religeous front as well. Each to their own. I've had a general anethsetic a couple of times in my life and all I remembered was knowing nothing from the moment I went to sleep to the moment I woke up. For me stepping off this mortal coil is like that. One minute you are here and the next nowhere. I've always been a realist and if I've ever had to have anything done medically then I just accept it will turn out how it does and there is nothing much I can do about it so let them do their worst. Never been that nervous to be put out. My thought is if I don't wake up then I'll never know. My missus doesn't agree with me and neither did my mother who clung on the the certain knowledge in her head that she would be greeted by my brother on the other side. If people like to think that way then where is the harm. As I said in my Doreen post, I could be wrong and just because I don't believe doesn't mean I'm right.
No idea what is going to happen in the end, but a glass of red in remembrance of Doreen has just been poured. Having lost my own Mum at a similar age this year Christmas is going to be a bit odd- she was supposed to be spending the festive period with us and as her ashes are currently in the sideboard, I guess she will! I would like to think we will all find 'eternal peace' but not convinced I want to be reunited with some of my relatives. As I have said before, 'life is for living, not surviving'- so whatever hand you have been dealt, play it to the maximum effect. RIP Doreen
So sad Plym but when we're down and depressed, just give a thought to Doreen. God bless her raising my glass also.
Need a drop of the hard stuff talking of spirits after the last couple of days. Fill em up barman. Mrs Sensible (seems strange calling her that as she's quite dopey really), has been well under the weather for several days now with a drop of the flu. It's only normal flu not the really bad man flu we blokes get. She has been quite poorly though and I've had to don the old nurse's outfit and tend to her every needs. Good job I kept it and it looks quite fetching even if I say so myself. Hoping she will buck up tomorrow so we can have proper food. I'm fed up with tinned soup and sandwiches.
Think you deserve it Sensible after all that looking after the Mrs Sensible, (hope she is better now) I know its hard work as i had to do the same a few weeks ago.. The women don't know what flu is!! They should try the man flu and then they will know what we have to deal with. Try a take away.. not my stuff but in an emergency it beats cooking that soup and making sandwiches, as that is so tiring stood over the cooker waiting for the soup to boil. Hope she is better seriously and gets that turkey stuffed..
boom boom.......old ones are always the best. She isn't better just yet but she's had 12 hours to get over it so expect her to be cured any minute now. All the bleddy nursing I've done she should be and if she isn't then she isn't trying hard enough. Do you have to warm soup Joe???? Oh bugger.
Do you have to take it out the tin as well? Double bugger.......I wondered why she looked at me funny when I gave her the tin with my curly straw.
Didn't want to start another thread on this but watched most of the Wimbledon v Liverpool match this evening. Have to say it was a great advert for the league 2 teams and Wimbledon deserve a lot of credit for their efforts. Sure there was a gulf in class and ability between the two sets of players which lets face it everyone would expect. However for shear effort and having a crack at the big boys you cannot fault Wimbledon. There were times when Liverpool looked a bit shell shocked at the in your face tactics. The result did look a bit inevitable and Wimbledon did run out of steam in the last 10 minutes but they left everything on the pitch they had which is exactly as it should be. Not a bad match at all and far better than the sterile premiership only games you normally see.
What's in the little box Mrs Jools? I just tried to open it and it won't let me. My electronics are a bit basic so I could be lacking something.....
Lucky to have any working equipment at your age sensible.......but lets not change the subject.....this is about your computer, it must be adequate to see Jools picture.......
