Sensible, you are cruising still but this time FOR A BRUISING! No my son doesn't borrow my tights, he would find it difficult as I don't own any! No shirt lifters in this family I can assure you and if there were they would be in the navy - like the Villiage People sing about sensible I beilieve some (or all) of them are gay. Now go play with your toy boats.
But that's the American navy Mrs lalala not the British. Ships of wood and men of steel lymborn........... Aren't people touchy sometimes.
We borrowed the USS Cambletown in WWII & rammed the submarine drydock of St.Nazaire in France...A lot of RN & RM personnel were highly decorated....the Yanks still angry....but waiting for the classic movie. Actually held a friends late father's VC on commemoration day as needed to use the gents on a session....was cool believe me...'what ever you do don't lose it'!! never moved an inch till he came back.
We have notice sensible.........but you've got thick skin and can cope........you'll get over it.............we do quite like you ................even when you have a touchy moment.
That's exactly what I mean hp_bedoboy, men of steel. If the Yanks had tried they would have rammed one of their own or ours. Can never do anything right. I object to being accused of being touchy plymborn. I'm not the one who is confused and would never touch anyone..............now if you'd said feely.
Trouble is Sensible was in Singapore few yrs. ago & guess what happened the f....g USS Enterprise turned up... crew about 3000 or more, even more! The Clarke Quay was swinging! but reading cutbacks in Herald etc. the whole RN will not have that personnel in latter days. A shame in British history but all British Forces being cut.
Know what you mean, ships the size of a small City but ferking useless. To be honest I'm not surprised at the reduction in personnel. We are not the owners of an Empire anymore thank goodness although we will pay for the one we had for years yet. We aren't some kind of super power either. Have not agreed with either of the recent history conflicts we have gotten involved with and the time has come to defend these shores rather than get involved with others. We are a small Island in World terms so Navy wise need a small Navy to defend it. Ships are only useful when you are fighting a small nation. A Super Dooper one would take out most ships from 5000 miles away anyway these days and you would not see it coming. Ships don't do broadsides anymore. Less service personnel means less for the Politicians to get killed.
I think he would say something along these lines ....... errrrm ummmm bugger it let me finish my game of bowls first and then I'll tell he lol
I'm surprised we have not recalled Simon King. Hessy must be doing you guys one heck of a favour, considering he has not got much of a defence himself at the moment, due to injuries.
Once King returns to Gillingham........even if for one game only..........the FL would not allow him to return to Argyle now that the have put an embargo on us.
It's possibly best for King to get regular matches to regain full fitness.........back home he might cover for one match until first choices recover.........and then he is sitting on his hands again just watching........wiser to leave him at Argyle.
We certainly need him and I like what I have seen from him so far. Although still a bit fragile we do look stronger with him in there. He is certainly a worker and gives his all. I've been waiting for the FL to tell us all loanees must be returned until wages have been paid. I better say that quietly as they may be listening and not thought of that one.
I thought we was still paying Simon Kings wages, not sure where I read that one but that is what I thought?
That is correct............Gillingham were keen for him to get regular football.........worth the money to them.
