Apparently there is a fair bit of p----d off people over there on the other forum.
Lots of stupid postings making some the regulars considering defecting here
Think someone should go over there and encourage them.
 
Totally agree. It's not just sour grapes 'cos I got banned, and threatened with the dreaded Strathclyde Police <yikes> The whole site is an idiot and WUMfest. Complete waste of time, unless your I.Q. is still in single figures.
 
Some of the more sensible ones try have decent discussions,then some idiot tries to big themselves by making outrageous statements that they can't back up. No wonder they are fed up.
 
There is a clear divide between the two sites. ja mostly one liners and probably appeals to those at work helpng to get them through a boring day. not606 is for those who prefer a more considered approach and some decent debate. We already have a good forum here, we just need to attract more of those 'respected posters' who for some strange reason have chosen the wrong site (ja). I think it is just a matter of time before they realise the difference, swallow their predjudice about the different format here and make their appearance.

All the complaints about the old 606 are addressed here after all, whereas ja just perpetuates what was always a very restrictive forum.

So all you 'guests' who are reading this board get your arse on board and stop wasting your time with kids, THIS is the forum for grown ups. <ok>
 
There's a few old Gooners from BBC 606 over on there too.
Maybe we should do a joint recruitment drive between our two teams
as a show of solidarity

Fairly spot on I reckon, ja makes the work day go that bit quicker but with regards to Spurs talk theres not much to be gained just the odd post from the regulars and the likes. Its pretty quiet in the evenings too.

They are a really really nice bunch tho I have to say that for the lads on ja. For the most part to a man everyone is very welcoming and up for the banter. You will have the odd one loving the wum entertaining but if you want to avoid all that its quite easy too.

OK, ja ain't great, but it's mostly a handful of Spurs fans who treat it like their own personal in-joke who spoil it. WUMs you can ignore. The problem is, I come on here today and find more discussion about the other side than about Spurs!

Actually Comfortably that's a cheap comment, the reason for this thread and mine on a similar subject is to consider ways to improve the forum so that when you come on there are more decent articles on Spurs.

Really? How does slagging off ja improve the articles on here? ja's match thread had over 700 comments. Not all of them sensible, for sure, but I couldn't even find a match thread on here.
 
Funny thing, I never say a lot on match threads as I am occupied watching the match. Perhaps there is a clue there. It's a bit like the characters that you always find at the game who are so busy giving the world the benefit of their insight they manage to miss what is happening on the pitch.

Nothing was made up for the sake of it.
We are all here to comment on everything Spurs, those that like it stay, those that don't can leave.

Bearing in mind the sensitive nature of the LFC and Gooners on this site, I really cannot imagine that this site would be able to withstand even a mild exodus. Or do you really believe that anyone coming from over there is going to make valuable contributions over here?

As a discussion forum, JA606 is a complete and utter joke. As a place to visit in order to laugh at ******s, it's a fantastic experience <ok>

So engaged in my rant was I that I got my shreddies in a right old twist.

What I meant to write was: "I cannot imagine that this site would be able to withstand even a mild influx from the other place..."

My point being, of course, that if certain posters over here are offended by the mild forms of wummery (if wummery it be) from our posters, they won't stand an earthly against the vitriolic bile that is spouting over there.
