Smith & Bancroft should be sacked & kicked out cricket for a while, what a gather is that most of the Aussie side new about it & should get a hefty fine or banned, totally out of order, back to England 130-2 fighting back a bit but stoneman gave it away.

Hearing on the radio that the 'leadership group' that Smith spoke about would normally have consisted of himself, Warner, Lyon, Starc, and Hazlewood. One of these was not privy to the tape ruse, though, and is pretty pissed off about being implicated.

That always trying to get away with something gene runs deep in those dirty cheating Aussie bastards
Nice .. Every one of those assholes who were involved in cheating should be banned for 12 months, minimum.
But your racist rant is just as disgraceful, probably worse. Do you say the same thing about every Brit because Atherton did a similar thing? Or every Indian because Tendulkar was caught? Or every South African because Du Plessis was caught.?
Is that a small chip on your shoulder I detect?

Is that a newbie who has not read any of my posts with didley that I detect
Been a member of this site for years perhaps you could explain what the relevance is whether I've been on here since day one or not. Or is it easier to deflect the issue?

If that was humour there's only one of us that needs to find a sense of it (interesting that you would prefer to steal it) but hey, each to their own.

You do seem to be a sensitive soul ossier anger
Have you just got off the plane in fostralia
Do you know nothing of the friendly rivalry between the two countries like between England and the onion selling surrender merchants
We are the sheep shaggers apparently

You are the convicts with the long standing ungentlemanly attitude to cricket
Nothing you can do about it I'm afraid

Michael Vaughan : "Pretty sure" ball tampering took place during the winter Ashes series

Former England captain Michael Vaughan is "pretty sure" Australia were ball-tampering during their 4-0 Ashes series victory in the winter.

Australia's Cameron Bancroft admits he tampered with the ball during this week's Test defeat in South Africa.

Captain Steve Smith, who knew about the plan in advance, has been banned for one Test and stood down as skipper of his Indian Premier League team. However, he insisted it was "the first time this has happened".

Television footage on the third day of Australia's third Test against South Africa in Cape Town showed Bancroft take what he said was yellow tape out of his trouser pocket before rubbing the ball. After the day's play, Smith admitted the team's "leadership group" had a plan, carried out by Bancroft, to tamper with the ball to "get an advantage".

Vaughan, who captained England to an Ashes series victory in 2005, told BBC Sport: "I cannot think that has been come up with over lunch in Cape Town.

"I look at the amount of tape some of the fielders have worn, particularly during the Ashes series at mid-on and mid-off. You don't have to name names, they know who they are. I am pretty sure it was going on throughout the Ashes series - but it was not the reason England lost 4-0. They still would have lost the series."

Steve Smith and David Warner banned for 12 months

Captain Steve Smith and vice-skipper David Warner have been banned for a year by Cricket Australia over their recent ball-tampering in South Africa.

Cameron Bancroft, who carried out the cheating, was given a nine-month ban.

The three had already been sent home from Australia's tour - before a fourth Test begins on Friday - amid widespread condemnation stretching beyond sport.

Australia's prime minister Malcolm Turnbull had said the affair "bitterly disappointed the whole nation".

Smith, 28, and Bancroft, 25, have also been suspended from captaining Australia for the next two years.

Warner, 31, will not be considered for "any team leadership positions in the future", Cricket Australia said.

The body's chief executive James Sutherland said he was "satisfied that the sanctions... properly reflect a balance between the need to protect the integrity and reputation of the game and the need to maintain the possibility of redemption for the individuals involved".

He added: "As indicated, Cricket Australia will provide more details of an independent review into the conduct and culture of our Australian men's team in due course."

Smith and Warner have also been banned from this season's Indian Premier League.

Well done the Aussie board but thought bans should be a lot higher, as for leaman how did he get away with it.
