Fair play, we were stuffed, who knows where the people saying it was closer than 4-0 suggests got that idea. Although we did catch better, straws!
Sorry sb, been working - yes that's the new multi-purpose stadium in Perth opened just before Christmas I believe.
Kevin Pietersen has finally retired completely. Obviously a man with many flaws and a daft pick for captain, but a sublime batsman. He made more Test appearances than Wally Hammond, Ted Dexter and Peter May, ended with a higher Test average than David Gower, Geoff Boycott and Colin Cowdrey, and made more Test centuries than Graham Gooch, Len Hutton and Ken Barrington. He also was in the team which won the Ashes 4 times. It was a pleasure to see him at work. Mostly.
Just seen the scorecard & what a disaster! & only a last wicket stand got them to 58! NZ 88-1 all ready 30 ahead, no excuse for that.
F*cking useless w*nkers. 27-9 at one stage. Five ducks and only Overton made a half decent score. So much for Stokes being our saviour...
I decided to sleep downstairs again so that I could watch a bit, as I did for the Ashes. Fell asleep before the start, but woke up a while later and switched on to check the score - 35 for 0, decent start........wait a minute, that's 35 for 9!
Heard Agnew on the wireless making no excuses for them but saying, once again, zero meaningful preparation plays a role (apparently Cook was out lambing in his farm a few days ago). The Indians opted for a net rather than a match in South Africa recently because the quality of opposition the host nation provided was so weak. Test cricket is going all out to kill itself.
Forget England's shocking performance in NZ, let's all laugh at the Aussies who have been caught ball-tampering in South Africa. Steve Smith, who admitted planning it, seemed to think that an apology would suffice, but it looks like he's going to get the tin tack. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
They get the award for the dumbest attempt at cheating ever. Bancroft and Smith should be banned after that, the Aussies really are a shadow of their great sides of the past...
Even the Aussie PM has got involved, speaking of Aussie cricketers being role models. Smith spoke about a 'leadership group' that was involved in planning the cheating - surely they must all be sacked. This would include the charming Mr Warner, of course.
