West Ham (H) = 1pt
Bournemouth (A) = 3pts
Arsenal (H) = 1pt

Palace (A) = 3pts
Newcastle (H) = 0pts
Liverpool (A) = 0pts

I'm predicting 3pts from the next three. Not sure if that's pessimistic or not.
I would be happy with that. A draw with Newcastle or Liverpool on top would be immense.

Think we’re more likely to beat Newcastle at home than Palace away but think we will probably get 1 maybe 2 more points from this run

A week before the World Cup, there will be some unexpected results in the final round of domestic fixtures. Liverpool will have the likes of Van Dijk, Firmino, Darwin Nunez all trying to avoid getting injured. They might even be rested.

It's a good time to be playing them.
I wonder how many of our players will be trying to avoid the same thing? Not many I suspect. Salisu and DCC (who is a sub for Croatia). Maybe JWP but not on current form.

Am I crazy person to see what would happen if Lyanco met Nunez? Anything could happen

Bloody hell don’t give him an excuse to be mental.

Yeah, I am a bit worried about him coming up against Zaha this weekend.

It could go either way. Either Lyanco bullies him and winds him up, Ward-Prowse style, or Zaha gets Lyanco sent off.

Assuming he starts. I'd have thought that requires us going a back 3 for him to start as he clearly didn't work at right back

Most obvious solution for me is to have AMN in at right back and revert to a 4. I mean, he played there for England and allows us to be more on the front foot against Palace (which we should be).

Or Ralph could put JWP at RB for ****housery purposes. :)
Or they could swap during the match

I wonder when we might see Larios there since he can apparently do both. Perhaps a cup game but maybe we will just have him left back in a cup game

I quite like the idea of event having the option of both full backs who can play both sides - conventional on their natural side and inverted on their weaker side - switching during the match . Would be interesting to say the least

I think it would be complete carnage as well! There's probably a good reason why that's not been done.

Probably that the number of full backs who can play both sides is minimal and very few teams have two of them

The primary impediment I'd imagine would be having a left-footed fullback who is used to playing right back. Otherwise, I can't see it being massively problematic; Man City has deployed Joao Cancelo as a conventional RB, as a conventional-but-right-footed LB, and as what amounts to a right-footed, left-sided DM or shuttler when they play with the compressed wingback role.

And Zinchenko before that. But you are right - left footers are still rare that they are usually utilised on the left side and very rarely do you see a left footer who is deployed at right back.

Feeling quite confident about Palace on Saturday. My first away of the season, in fact my first away since Spurs last season, and that went well enough..

Not looking beyond that yet.

In their last four, they've beaten Leeds and Wolves, drawn to Leicester and lost to Everton. Not really sure what to make of them, but I'm hoping it's a good time to play them off the back of a 3-0 loss to Ev.

The league is incredibly tight at the moment, so it only(!) takes a few positive results to move into the top half.

Really? Newcastle look pretty solid this season and in recent years we don't seem to get much against them. In our last 10 vs. Newcastle, our record is W1, D3, L6.
